Of course after getting to SWGE yesterday my kids want to build a droid. I was hoping to hop from AK tomorrow afternoon but can’t tell if reservations are required. Disney’s website says no times available but I for grins tried to reserve 60 days out with no luck. Some sites say yes, some say first come first serve. Any help?

thanks in advance!

You need to book a reservation. When we were in line for ours we saw people without them being turned away. Sorry. I will say I thought it was not really worth the money and the upselling was pretty intense.

This time of year, you probably need a reservation, but you may be able to walk up if you get there an hour before park opening and make a bee line for Droid Depot immediately once they let people back. I do agree it’s not a must do, and I would make room in a carry on for them(Disney broke mine in shipping). I would go for the option with the bag and choice of personality chips(the bag alone is the same cost as the upcharge). I bought my BB unit as a project droid, to give me an art project in downtime customizing it. The entire experience takes about 15 minutes but allow for 30 since it’s kids building droids.
