Wow.... I wonder why they are doing it again so soon? Did anyone get their certificate from the last time yet? I am still waiting for mine. Tempting to do it again, but we don't have another Marriott stay scheduled.... too bad it has to be for a 2 night stay... we have lots of 1 night stays coming up this summer!...............P

Wow -- I'm surprised it's back already. I did the last one just two weeks ago, and I have not yet received my Marriott certificate -- not that that'll prevent me from going again.

I think they must make a decent number of sales from these promotions, or they wouldn't continue doing them. And they might get a sale from me. I looked at their Rendevous, a small luxury SUV, and I liked it a great deal. Previous to this promotion, I would never have connected Buick with SUVs, and I would never have bothered to visit their lot.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the certificate? We are going away in April for a little getaway weekend - two nights - and this would be perfect for it!

I looked at their Rendevous, a small luxury SUV, and I liked it a great deal. Previous to this promotion, I would never have connected Buick with SUVs, and I would never have bothered to visit their lot.

A good friend at work bought one of these last year and LOVES it!

I have an interesting story about these test drives: about three years ago I did my first one at a Nissan dealer. The guy who signed mine was so rude! He never said one word to us, I mean one word! No "hi," no "bye," nothing. He just scribbled on my form and kind of threw it back at us across his desk. When we went there, we thought we'd like to test a Pathfinder, but weren't ready to buy for some time. The guy didn'teven offer. Three weeks later, someone from the Big Dig in Boston drops a load of ground up pavement in the middle of a major road and takes off. I unsuspectingly come around the bend and right on top of that rubble! My beloved Saturn totaled! Guess which dealer we did not go back to in order to buy a new car for me?

So, every time I have done a test drive like this, I always get the saleperson's card (if they are nice) and tell them my little you-never-know story!

Also, I never got around to doing this test drive last time (forgot). Now I have a second chance!

Does anyone know what the restrictions are on the use of the certificate? Ex. Can you get your best deal, and then use the cert. like cash, or is it $100 off the rack rate of two nights...

1. Reservations for Bonus Bucks redemption should be made in advance by calling 1-800-899-7235 or in the U.K. 0800 221222. Customers cannot use a Bonus Buck on a stay booked on Marriott.com or any other website. They must call Marriott directly.

2. A two night paid stay is required. One Bonus Buck coupon is applicable per two night stay. (It is possible for a customer to use more than one Bonus Buck coupon per stay if their stay is 4 or more nights. For example, if a customer is staying 4 nights, they can use 2 Bonus Bucks, 6 nights 3 Bonus Bucks, etc. The customer may use a Bonus Buck coupon for every two night element of a stay at a publicly booked room rate.)

7. Bonus bucks coupons may be used for all publicly, listed and available room rates and packages, excluding catering, group, and contract rates. Bonus bucks cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or certificate for accommodations.

8. Bonus bucks are not replaceable if lost, stolen, destroyed or expired.

9. Bonus bucks are transferable when gifted.

10. Any tax liability, including disclosure, connected with receipt or use of this certificate is the recipient's responsibility.

11. Bonus Buck coupons are valid for 6-8 months from the date of issue. The actual expiration date is listed on the front of the Bonus Buck certificate.

12. Bonus Bucks can be used on an advance purchase rate stay, but cannot be used to prepay the advance purchase rate.

We took advantage of this offer last month as well but have not received the certificate yet. I believe it said 6-8 weeks.

Doublecheck on the Marriott brand that you're interested in. I don't think the bonus bucks are good at Fairfields or Renaissance Motels and I'm not sure if there are any others.
