where do you hand your buggy in at the airport. do you have to give it with your luggage? and where do you collect it in cdg?

thanks dont know what i would do without your help lol

from what i hear... if its a foldable they then you push it right up to the plane and they put it in the hold, then bring it out for you when you get out.... thats what my airport says on website... if its a bigg buggy with seat unit/ carry cott.. will probebly go in with luggage..i would imagine

Some airlines will allow you to keep the buggy with you right up until boarding, although it will most probably get a ticket put on it at checkin.
On some occassions we were lucky that when we landed cabin crew presented us with the buggy. At other times we had to collect it along with the luggage :)
Who are you flying with as someone might have a recent experience?

What I think happens (assuming it's the same as other airports) is you would get an oversized luggage tag on it, then hand it over at a seperate place when you check in. You wil lthen get it back at the baggage reclaim - some airports put them on the usual carousel, others have a special place e.g. by a door.

If it's really important that you have the buggy, then hopefully the airline will allow you to take it to the gate. We are able to do this, but I don't know if this only applies to have the pushchair for special needs purposes.

I have always been able to take the buggy right up to the departure gate (I fly from Belfast) & it was taken off me just before boarding. At the other side, sometimes it has been at the bottom of the staircase, but mostly (and definitely most recently) it arrived on the carousel - with the exception of Aer Lingus last month who forgot to unload the buggies & we had to wait for ages (I think I remember that you are from Ireland - Am I right?)

We fly with Air France and sometimes they let you keep it other times they make you hand it in at check in, well you got to put it somewhere else but defo at the same time.... I think with AF it depends who you get when you check in, each person has different rules:confused3

We have always been able to take the buggy right to the gate, it then disspears and we pick it up at the normal baggage carosel. Makes coming off the plane slightly tricky with no buggy but it's only for 10-15 minutes usually.
