We just booked a 4 day land/3 day sea pkg.

You just never know when kids are going to have a meltdown, so if you do not make it to the dinner meal, is there an alternative buffet that you can chose? Or is room service the only choice?

Are the buffets at breakfast and lunch just as good (variety) as the sit down meals?

This is our first cruise and I will have lots of questions. I really do appreciate any advise. Have a great night!

I found that ALL the food on the Magic was outstanding. But...other than room service, there is a hot dog/taco/and i think burger stand that is open most of the day and evening. There is also a pizza and ice cream bar that are open most of the day and evening.

When I cruised...if I found that I didnt like something..... before you know it, your servers already have something else at the table for you. They go above and beyond to make sure you eat well and enjoy what your eating. Truly a pleasant experience.

we will be on the Wonder for the 3 day cruise.

Thanks.

Personally, I like the buffet's breakfast better than the sit down meals. I am not much of a breakfast person and the buffet had things to choose from that I liked. I think you can get the exact same items on both the buffet and sit down meals.

Room Service must for me is the grilled ham and cheese sandwich with potato chips. My sister likes the salad and cheese platter.

Also something to keep in mind- they do try to seat families in a dining rotation with families with kids in the same age group. So you really shouldn't be in a seating with anyone who'd object to your kids if they do get fussy. And even the servers will pitch in to a point as well to keep the kids entertained.

Now for the most important question, do they serve pancakes at the buffet? My son is a pancake nut.

Also, my son is an extremely picky eater. Is it appropriate to ask ahead of time (when is the best time) for a special meal for supper. He will eat no meat or potatoes.:(

He is really a yogurt, fruit, grain kid. Actually, he would probably eat pancakes for supper:teeth:

Thanks for any advice.

The food on board and servers are great. The always have something ont he menu he could eat.

If he wants fruit and its an appetizer...order him two servings. (it's allowed) and don't be afraid to mix and match off the kid/adult menus.

Usually I want something on kids menu and my dd wants my crabslegs or something. (sometimes the kids line at the lunch buffet is more fun because they serve stuff like corn dogs)

Also, I'm sure that if your servers found out he wanted pancakes at dinner they could arrange something. (Maybe not the first night, but probably the other two.)

The room service is included so don't be afraid to use it even if its just for choc chip cookies and milk before bedtime.

:p :p :p :p :p :p
