Buffets

DH says DD would really enjoy a buffet. We are staying at SSR. I don't think there are any buffets at DS, correct? We only have MK for one day (eating at BOG for breakfast so don't really want to spend on lunch) and are primarily going for Sea World this year. We could go to Ohana, but that is not really a buffet, 1900 Park Fare, but my DD isn't really into the characters there, Chef Mickey's selection seems kinda boring for selection. We already are going to AKL one day for Sanaa, so that eliminates Boma. Any other buffets I am not thinking of that aren't in the park? Or, should we try to go to Chef Mickey's? DD is age 7 and has outgrown princesses (she is all about characters like Kylo Ren and dragons!) Thanks!

Cape May cafe is a buffet with Minnie Mouse for breakfast. I think it only has characters at breakfast though

Yes, we did breakfast there a few years ago. Love it! We need more of a dinner option, though. Thanks!

Park Fare is a favorite of ours. Cinderella is there(as is Prince Charming) but the step sisters are the star of the show. They are hilarious!
LILO & Stich are good too at Poly, but it’s breakfast.
We also really enjoy the food at Tusker House, along with Donald “and friends”.
It seems all the buffets are character meals, which means they’re pretty pricey!

I hear good things about Topilino’s Terrace. It’s a buffet for breakfast. Not sure about later. The Wave has a good breakfast buffet too, and it’s less expensive also. But no characters at The Wave.

Should I go for it and book Crystal Palace late lunch, like at 1? I do love Tigger!

Honestly if you only have 1 WDW park day/1 day at MK I wouldn't. I would stick to one of the buffets outside the park on a non MK day.

I agree. It is SO expensive to eat at Crystal Palace. Not worth it.

The Wave breakfast is god value and yummy, but dull for a kid.
Trails End is great, we loved the theming, and enjoyed the food but no characters.
Poly has Lilo and Stitch breakfast, which is family style, not buffet.

The buffet at 1900 Park fare had the tastiest food, and even if you are not really into the characters, they are very fun (stepother and sisters are very funny).

Topolino's is not a buffet for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is a prix fixe menu, and dinner is a signature restaurant.

Topolino's is not a buffet any time of day. If you are looking for a dinner buffet option, I would consider Tusker House in AK. The food is very good and has more variety than your standard buffet. It is much better than Chef Mickey's, which is just ok. Cape May has an excellent seafood dinner buffet, but no characters.

We loved Trail's End at Fort Wilderness - great food and reasonably priced by Disney standards. Plus if you've got time, fun to walk around the grounds and little beach area.
