Hi
I was wondering if let's say I go at CP ( MK ) I mostly serve myself DO i have to give between 18-20% that seems a bit high considering only drinks were brought to me ???? From were I leave we don't give as much at buffet as we do in sit down restaurants so what will it be ?
anybody back tell me what you did ?
And another question we will be 6 adults travelling in 3 separate rooms will we be charge a bigger tip because we will be seated together ??? doesn't seem fair also again it nots like that at home :confused3 :confused3 very confuse:confused3
thanks

With 6 adults you will automatically have an 18% gratuity included.

As far as buffets I believe there have been many heated discussions about tipping - just do a search and you will find many.

No confusion necessary.... just be prepared to pay a non-negotiable service charge of 18%!!!

As a party of six or more Guests dining together, yes, each of the three rooms/parties will be charged the 18% automatic service charge.

Look at it this way - while some Guests (such as yourselves) are really three separate parties, there would be nothing to stop other large parties from requesting separate checks in an effort to avoid the service charge: "Eight separate checks, please. The children will each be paying for their own individual dinners. Yes, even the three year old".

The saddest part is...even a toddler or an infant counts towards a party of 6....and he/she doesn't even order off the menu or receive any service from the waitstaff.

Having the gratuity added to large parties is common in many restaurants. It used to be parties of 8 at Disney. They modified this for 2008 to parties of 6. And yes, if you take a chair you are part of the party.

Resort destinations can set their own guidelines and Disney has done this.

Hope that helps and have a great trip!:cool1:
