Just came back from Disney World and was shocked by the increase in buffet prices. 36.99 for Crystal Palace dinner and 28.99 for Chef Mickey´s breakfast. I will definitely skip those buffets with prices that high.

Those prices are high but with so many on Free Dining and the DDP, Disney is able to fill those restaurants.

Yep, but they make no sense at all for someone who is paying oop.
Sure they do.Disney is trying to make a profit, and since people pay those prices and the restaurants are still booked solid, they will continue to do so.

If you pay OOP, you'll just have to decide if you want to pay those prices, get a TIW (meaning, you neen an annual pass) or be assimilated into the dining plan (which means you have to stay onsite). I don't do buffets anymore. It's pretty much guaranteed those prices won't come down; they can still fill the restaurants with dining plan guests who are ecstatic about the good deal they got.
