There is quite a bit offered on the buffets for embarkation lunch....both places (Parrot Cay and Topsiders on the Magic and Beach Blanket Buffet on the Wonder) serve pretty much the same things.
Parrot Cay, to us, is more relaxing the first day as it is very cool and tropical and you are seated and served you beverages. Topsiders/BBB is up on Deck 9 and has some indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Depending on what time of year you sail you could be sitting out in 90 degree temps and high humidity...that is why we like to dine in Parrot Cay for the first lunch.
They have peel your own shrimp, assorted cheeses, raw vegetables, salads, pasta salads, fresh fruit, soup, hot entrees, sides like green beans, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, a carving station with usually 2 types of meats/turkey, breads/rolls, and a ton of desserts!!!
You will not go away hungry.
To the poster who said they could not stand Topsiders....was that for breakfast or everytime you went there? Just curious as we usually have all our breakfasts up there and I find it quite good....plenty of selection (yes your standard breakfast fare but still good). They have a different themed lunch buffet each day as well....just would like to know what you found so yucky....
