Buffet Breakfast?

Our favorite is Cape May Cafe at the BC :goodvibes.

Same here! It was the best breakfast buffet that we had all week followed by TH.

Well, we went to "Donald's Breakfast Safari" at TH May 29, 2010 and it was as I listed: Donald outside and Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy inside. Apparently it has changed since then but that is who was advertised as being there and who was actually there at that time.

We were there in February 2010 and it was Donald outside with Mickey, Goofy and Daisy inside so this one is probably one of those where the characters change from time to time for various reasons.

We have seen Donald inside:

Donald is solely outside now for the photo op and when we were there, he was not signing anything and his handler was telling everyone to go to Camp Minnie Mickey to get autographs.

Solaris at the Marriott World Center. I try to get there at least once a month.

Must be new since December. We saw him inside in March '09, Sept '09, May '10, July '10, Sept '10, Nov '10 and again in December.

Of course they do change from time to time.

In any case... we like the food there slightly better than other breakfast buffets and find the food to be basically the same at all places.

Interesting, we were there in Feb '10 and the handler is the one that told us Donald was solely outside now. I've read numerous other reports saying the same but who knows...he's a fickle duck so maybe it depends on his mood. But I agree that the food is pretty good for a buffet.

My favorite is Crystal Palace. I think they are the only one who has an omlet station.

Also enjoy Boma but more difficult to get to. And Tusker House.

. . . off-site: Marriott World Center (15-min from Disney)
. . . on-site: The Wave in Contemporary

Our Ratings of The Wave (Breakfast Buffet):
. . . food price value: C+
. . . food quality: B
. . . food quantity per serving: B
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: B (not yet widely known, so not busy)
. . . seating comfort: B
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff helpfulness: A
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The buffet
is not overly lengthy or widely diverse, but more than ample in
selection and quantity. At just under $20 per adult, it is a reasonable
buffet for WDW, but the selection quantity slightly reduces the
perceived value to a "C+" from a "B". However, as buffet breakfast,
it is probably the best-kept secret in WDW.

So far we've only done character breakfasts. Ohana was my favorite. Play n Dine @ H&V was second favorite.
