Buffet at lunch/dinner changeover ?

If I were to make a reservation at the end of lunch, say 2:30 when the lunch is officially only until 2:45 and dinner doesn't start until 3:15, what happens? Are we entitled to stay and eat until we are done? Do they start replacing the food, still having something available? We would like to eat a super early dinner or late lunch that day and I'm just trying to figure it all out.

For all-day buffets, you will just keep on enjoying your meal while they 'magically' switch the buffet items over from one meal period to the next.

If you book a late breakfast, this is more noticeable because the breakfast items like eggs and bacon will begin to morph magically into lunch items like broccoli and roast beast.

Lunch-into-dinner is less noticeable, they are usually just adding a couple of things in for dinner on top of the lunch menu.

You will be charged the appropriate amount for the meal period in which you were seated (or for which your ADR was booked, even if you are seated late).

They don't stop serving lunch at 2:45. However, 2:45 is the final reservation time for lunch. They will still bring out fresh food. There is no need to worry that you will leave without eating your fill. Once the dinner reservations kick in they will start to serve the dinner foods. Like the PP said, lunch to dinner is not all that noticable. You are still free to take your time.

Mostly it is entree that change, the breads, salads and deserts will be the same anyway.

This is good news. Thanks everyone. I'm wanting to eat around 2:30 or 3 due to the fact that I'll be getting up at dark30 to run the marathon that day. I just figure if I make my reservation at 2:45 or earlier, I'll get charged less, so that makes more sense!
