Buffalo park n fly?

We got back yesterday and our car was perfect. When I called for the shuttle it arrived before we even walked to the pick up spot.

Yes, the lot is shared with Thrifty....and BTW, you can park at Thrifty for $5.99/day.

Hey all! We like to stay at the Sleep Inn. We have stayed there 3x previously and are booked to stay there again in November.

It is recently refurbished, has great service, and what I really like is that you park at the actual airport and get shuttled to and from the hotel. This is handy because you don't have to wait for a shuttle back to the hotel when you return, you just hop on the normal airport parking shuttle.

We got our rate for $109 including 7nts parking.

Good luck....happy vacationing :goodvibes

Which sleep in. I love that my car would be at the airport instead for the return.

Hi! It is the Sleep Inn Cheektowaga 100 Holtz Dr.

We find having the car in the airport lot very nice. We have tried other hotels that keep your car at their property and it seems like an extra step to have to go back to the hotel to pick up your car.

Take care! :goodvibes

Just booked Peace Bridge Duty Free/ Days Hotel deal this morning. I gave them all the credit card info but there is no charge showing (it's been a few hours). Do they charge when you check in or now? Not a big deal, but I like to know when the charge is coming off. I should have asked but assumed it was being put through right away.

You will be charged at check out the same as most hotels. Just be careful to look at the bill before you leave to be sure that it is correct. We were over charged.

Also, we did not stop at the duty free to pick up the package....just went straight to the hotel, no problem at all.

Thank you! Good to hear my confirmation will be enough if we don't feel like stopping. We usually do to poke around the store a bit, but it's going to be late so we might not want to this time.:)

I notice that the Days Hotel just uses one section of the Thrifty gated lot and use an orange temporary fence to separate the Days Hotel cars from the Thrifty cars. This isn't a concern, just an observation.

I wonder if the issue with leaving the keys is a result of them double parking cars on one side, one in front of the other blocking one car in. We had 2 cars so blocking one of the cars from getting out wasn't a problem since we traveled and arrived home together. Would they need your keys to move your car to let the person in front of you out if they return home before you?

I asked when I stayed there earlier this month. They said the lot used to be theirs, but they loaned it to Thrifty, and Thrifty assisted them with the parking. They were running into issues, so they took the lot back.

I didn't want to leave my keys, and I was parked behind someone. They said they keep track of when everyone is coming/going and I didn't have to. They had me sign something that said if I didn't leave my keys, that they could tow the car. I asked about this and the guy said they would just cut the snow fence if needed to let the other person out and not to worry.

We arrived at the Days hotel last night and got lucky to park on the left side where no vehicle could park in front of us. In regards to having to wave the keys the form you sign states only if it's a valet parking it or if the weather requires it. We did not have to leave our keys. It's a nice hotel and the restaurant downstairs is pretty good. We only had one problem with our room last night and that was the key wouldn't work, we had to go down twice and the guy came up. Turned out it wasn't the key but the handle itself, we were moved to a new room. We check out in about 45 mins to catch our flight. Overall we are happy with this hotel. We will know for sure though when we get back to our car. :)

I don't recall ever having to sign a "wave the keys" form. Is this new? We've stayed at Days five times, as recently as last month.

I stayed there in August. Everyone signs the same form. It's the basic liability waiver. If your car is damaged when you get back it's not our fault type of thing. It does mention that if you don't provide a key your car could be towed if they need to move it.

There was no way that i was going to leave my key(no one drives my car but me). The parking guy didn't care at all. He had me park against the fence. I would suggest when staying at Days that you tell them in advance that you will not leave your key...perhaps they will plan a spot for you. They do park cars according to pick up dates.

Also, someone stated that the gate is locked. It is not. You can walk right in at any time and drive out at any time.

Well, I guess I'll have to pay more attention to what I'm signing. :scratchin We've never been asked to leave our keys and I wouldn't leave them either.

It's the form that you fill in with your return date, time and car info(make, model etc.).

Can you explain how that works? Do they have their own airport lot? How do you get away with not paying at the airport? I don't see anything on the Sleep Inn website about parking at airport.

^You leave your car at the hotel not the airport. The hotel shuttle bus/van takes you to the airport and back.

That's not the way it works at the Sleep Inn. You park in the Buffalo International Airport long term parking lot & pay the parking through the hotel room cost. Your ticket is endorsed by the Sleep Inn upon your arrival & parking in the lot. You hold on to that ticket through your holiday and use it to exit through the regular exits at the airport parking lot. The Sleep Inn shuttle guides you to your parking area upon your arrival at the hotel in Cheektowaga; drops you off at the airport for your flight; picks you up upon your return & delivers you to your car parked in the parking lot.

It's a great system. It has worked for us each and every time we have used Sleep Inn since 2006.

Sounds like a perfect system for us. Our flight doesn't return until 12:05 AM. I'll have to call them up, because the website doesn't make any mention of that service.

We were at sleep inn this past September and our car stayed at the hotel parking lot for the week.
