Buffalo park n fly?

At the Days you do leave your keys behind. It wasn't my favourite when we were there in July. One elevator was broken and I see on TripAdvisor it still was recently. Did you try Trinity reservations.com we have use them often for the Stay bridge Suites loved it. Their price is including tax.

Thank you for the response. I did but my DH preferred the Days due to the description of the parking lot and the fact you don't have to book a time for the shuttle. Hopefully it's not to bad, just a place to sleep, as per my DH. Lol.

Just so you know. Our car was left in the reg parking lot because there was no room in gated lot. They moved our car when we were gone beside the dumpster still in the reg parking lot. I actually found the Staybridge felt safer.

We've stayed at Days Buffalo several times (our car is there right now). We've never left our keys with them. :confused3

Is your car in a secure lot? This is my biggest fear. My DH wants the convenience of not driving in the morning for our 9:30am flight. I've read mixed reviews but none really mention the parking just that they did the park/sleep/fly. We are staying on Sept 26 with our car there until Oct 4th. It's not a busy time of year so I'm hoping it won't be a question for secured parking.

We also just stayed at the Days Hotel and did not leave our keys there. We were in the normal lot as there were no spaces in the back lot. When we returned, all was good, we loaded the van and away we went. Our stay was fine, and breakfast started at 4:00 am which was convenient (we used it at 6:00am). We left at about 6:45 am for our 8:05 am flight.

I'm in my bed at the Days Inn right now. It's ok, certainly not the worst place I've been. Fine for the night. I refused to leave my car key and they had us park along the fence. It really wasn't an issue. I said handing over the key was a deal breaker. I'm quite sure that I read some where that you didn't leave the key. Clearly, they do take most keys. Anyway, my car is in the fenced area and they have video cameras .

We stayed at the Days Hotel on Christmas Eve. They had us park at the Thrifty lot, which was a secured lot, and we didn't have to leave our keys. Did something change? I hope not as we stay there next week, and I'm not comfortable leaving our keys.

It's in a gated lot. But any car can drive toward the gate either inside the lot or outside of the lot and it will open. It is well lit and there are security cameras around.

One time on a three night trip, we were asked to leave our car in the hotel parking lot and that was fine. We've left our car as long as 13 days with no problem in the past. We are returning home on Monday from our longest trip yet. Hopefully, our car will be fine (knock on wood). :goodvibes

We're trying out the Peace Bridge Duty Free "Days Hotel Park Before You Fly Package" with a $5 duty free gift certificate, 1 night hotel, breakfast and 10 days parking for $101.24 US taxes included (Sun - Thurs). The Days Inn is on Genesee St. right across from the airport.

We're staying over on August 19th so maybe we'll bump into "MeridaLove" at the Southwest gate the next morning? :wave2:

Here's the promotion link: http://www.dutyfree.ca/DaysHotelFlying.aspx

Thanks for the link! We saved over $20 on the special rate that Wyndham rewards quoted us.

Firstly, thank you so much for sharing about the Peace Bridge Duty Free "Days Hotel Park Before You Fly Package". Saving $50!!! (Just think of the extra Mickey Bars!!!!)

When I booked it I was concerned about the 10 days parking as, if you count the day we arrive as Day 1 then we wouldn't be picking it back up until Day 11 but Maria (At PBDF) assured me it would be fine and they were really good about it and in fact Days Inn should be changing it to 14 days by the end of September to match one of their sister hotels in the area.

I'll be honest I was very very close to changing my ressie to Sleep Inn around the corner as it had better reviews and I like see the manager reply to reviews on Trip Advisor and it has been renovated the last two years and looked nice and fresh. Plus with the elevator and mixed reviews of Days Inn recently I just didn't want to deal with any stress with them before our trip. But saving $50 is pretty sweet and we will be there for less then 12 hours. So Days Inn will get the chance to either lose our business for next time or earn it ::yes::

Oh, and I will absolutely not be leaving my keys with them. There is no need for it and if they cause a stink I'm sure another hotel int he area will take our money! (But I really don't think it will be an issue so I'm not too worried)

We were charged for the extra day of parking. Which I didn't notice until after we left the hotel. They had our bill folded up with a coupon for next time. I opened the papers after we were in the airport.

Overall, I doubt I would stay at the Days again. I don't think the early flights are a good fit for us. I would have been just as far ahead to have stayed home and left at 4am. I might have only slept for an hour or so.

Wow, thats not cool! :furious: And contradicts what I was just told by them.

How much was the extra day? Did they ask you to leave your keys with them?

We were charged $9. We were asked to leave our keys but refused. It didn't seem to be any big deal but we had to park in the back corner along the fence. We fully expect to come back and find a car parked in front of us. Handing over my keys is a total deal breaker and I told the parking guy that. I'm rather sure that I had read you kept your keys so I have no idea what the deal is with this place and there are several others in this thread that said they did not leave keys.

We just picked up our car from Days tonight. We left it for 19 days. Everything was fine. :thumbsup2

we actually booked the Comfort Inn Suites on Dick Rd through Park Sleep Fly.
And PSF didn't send our reservation info over to the Hotel. It took them about 20 minutes to sort it all out, but once it was done, it was pretty painless.

We parked in the back of the hotel and they drove us to the airport in the shuttle (took about 5 minutes).

On the way back, i just gave them a call, and they arrived in the shuttle in again 5 minutes -- and took me right to me car.

The staff there are young -- and one of the desk staff was new -- but they helped make a stressful situation relaxing and fun.

We always stay at the Days Hotel Buffalo Airport. 4345 Genesee St. Buffalo NY.
Booked it this September for $109.00 Parking for 7 days . Hotel is right across the street from airport. Nice hotel, parking is on site and in locked fenced parking lot. Very small indoor pool, but the huge hot tub makes up for the pool. Best part of this hotel is "Tim Hortons" is next door. Just walk over. 30 second walk!! Great shuttle to airport also.

I notice that the Days Hotel just uses one section of the Thrifty gated lot and use an orange temporary fence to separate the Days Hotel cars from the Thrifty cars. This isn't a concern, just an observation.

I wonder if the issue with leaving the keys is a result of them double parking cars on one side, one in front of the other blocking one car in. We had 2 cars so blocking one of the cars from getting out wasn't a problem since we traveled and arrived home together. Would they need your keys to move your car to let the person in front of you out if they return home before you?
