We were just talking about what/where we will eat on Saturday before our flight. There are 2 ideas bouncing around right now.

1. Eat breakfast at home and pack some sandwiches....we have a 1pm flight.

2. Leave home a little earlier and get breakfast before we park the car at the airport.

So my questions are.....
Where can we go to have breakfast near the airport?
Can I bring sandwiches through airport security?

BTW, I would be bringing sandwiches instead of purchasing them in the airport because the last time I bought lunch in the airport it cost me $40 for a couple sandwiches and a bag of chips.

We are going for option 2 according to yahoo maps Cracker Barrel is 5 Min's from the airport. We also have a 1 ( well 1:40 ) flight.

Yes you can bring sandwichs through security but no you can't bring drinks.

I know I have seen Mc Donalds and Tim Hortons near the airport.

2 more sleeps :banana::banana:

I'm well aware of the 'liquid issue'....in fact that is causing me trouble. I need large amounts of sunscreen.

I know where the Tim's is but I think that we want more of a meal to tide us over until dinner. I'm not a big fan of the Cracker Barrel, although breakfast is breakfast. It's pretty much the same no matter where you go.

There is a Dennys in a hotel right beside the airport. We did that. Went across the border early as i did not want to expect any delays at border or traffic but we went during winter, and on a weekend, so if you go not busy time then trafic should not be a problem. But i would rather be there early and eat there before going to the airport. you can pack your sandwiches for the airplane ride home. i think sandwiches are ok, but the condiments might be a problem. Never brought them so maybe someone else can suggest
