We are flying out of Buffalo for the first time this year, looking for hotels suggestions, we will need to leave our van at the hotel for the week. Thanks for your input.

We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across from the airport, the Homewood Suites (on Dick Rd. ??) and the Hampton Inn near the Walden Galleria. Like you, we are a family of 5 and we preferred the Homewood Suites for our family. We found it to be the most spacious of the three. All hotels offer a complimentary shuttle to the airport.

We always stay at the Sleep Inn. They have a great breakfast which is included and it starts early (4:30 am) which is great if you have an early morning flight.

Last year we stayed at the Hampton Inn near the Walden Galleria and will stay there again next tim we fly out of Buffalo.

Left the van with them. They shuttled us to the airport on time. Picked us up very shortly after we phoned on our return trip. Very clean comfortable room! The room was actually more spacious than our room at CSR. Our kids loved the pool. Friendly staff. And the morning hot/cold buffet Hampton Inn offers was very good & fresh!!!

Check out betterbidding and use Priceline to bid on the 3.5* in Buffalo-Amherst. You will get the Buffalo Marriott Niagara since it is the only hotel listed under the 3.5* category with priceline. You just register your vehicle at the front desk for the free shuttle to the airport which is 5 miles away and they pick you up when you return. There is no limit on how long you can leave your vehicle and the great thing is you can do it when hbook through Priceline and park for free. The hotel is very nice. I got it for $52.00 last December but looks like it has gone up slightly. Recent bids look like $60.00 is the magic number if you are bidding within 2 weeks of departure. You can bid up to 7 times within 24hr period since only 3.5* in all Buffalo zones.

I booked the holiday inn right accross the road for the 5 of us for this coming july. I has good reviews and was very cheap. I got it for $90 canadian including taxes. We have a early flight (7am) so I am not going to use the hotel shuttle. I will just drive over to the airport. That way I don't have to worry about the shuttle being late or anything. Plus with the cheap cost of the room plus parking at the airport it is still cheaper then the sleep and fly rate

Stay at the Marriott Buffalo Airport. Free parking, free shuttle, and hotel is slightly further (5 minutes) from airport so you won't hear planes all night. Great indoor pool and pub for dinner. Beds are super comfy, big white feather duvets, and it can fit a cot for the 5th person.

On price line it's the nicest you will find for the money.

If you are parking at the airport anyway you should try hotwire or priceline! We have had the Best Western for $54 a night and this year got the Comfort Inn and Suites for $58 (Hotwire 2.5 stars)-both have early/included breakfasts. I thought about trying for the Marriott but we really don't want to wait for shuttle when we come home so are parking at the airport and the Marriott does not have breakfast?? There are 7 of us so included breakfast is really nice. Others seem to have good luck and no waits for shuttles but so far our waits have been very long/cold/boring and not what you want at the end of the trip.

We got this hotel for $49US plus tax! Fantastic rate! It's the only 3.5 star hotel so bid with confidence that they won't downgrade you. DW and I liked it so much, we went to Buffalo for 1 night just for a getaway over Christmas break. We'll do it again!

A friend is flying out three weeks today and they don't have a room booked yet. When might the Marriott accept an offer of $60. Should they be concerned? They have a 6:50 am flight so they want a room in Buffalo for Thursday. At a loss how to help...and what to suggest. Should they be booking a room just in case?

Just checked December's. On December 3, I finally managed to get $60 for our December 8 stay. I'd suggest reserving a room at La Quinta at their Park N Fly rate as a backup before they fill up (free breakfast in the morning and beside the airport). It's around $110, but you can cancel if Marriott works out by then.

I second that. On my 2 stays at this Marriot, I got rates of 60.99 and 59.99 3 to 4 nights prior to the trip.
So worth it....

Thank you. My friends booked a night at Sleep Inn with a park and fly package. They got the last room they tell me so I'm happy they have a room. They will still try to get the Marriott but at least they have a place to lay their heads.

We stay at Fairfield Inn by Marriott - right across the road from the airport. 5 minute shuttle ride, usually only a 5 or 10 minute wait for pick up when home ... we like this hotel :) I am very, very, very picky :D

Friends got a room at Marriott for $60 on Pricline for one night this Thursday. Too bad priceline is such a short time frame because they need a room when they return too - LOL.

Thanks everyone.

I'm glad it worked for you!:cheer2:
I'd suggest you get a friend whom you trust to either book a return hotel the same way for you with your card or on their own card and give you the confirmation number when you call after reaching BUF. (or bring a laptop like I do and book it yourself while away)

I offered to do that for them but they think they may just drive home. They have a fairly early arrival and it is only adults.

The last three years we have stayed at Millennium.

http://www.millenniumhotels.com/millenniumbuffalo/index.html

The rate (usually around $129.) includes 2 weeks of parking. They also have a shuttle service, which we have always used and found very efficient. The rooms and beds are very comfy, and we typically get a double king suite (2 king beds).

Usually the night before we go out for dinner (tons of options accross the street) and then the kids go back for a swim before bed.

I work at a travel agency and we have a preferred rate of $99 at the Millenium including parking, shuttle & breakfast. If any of you ever want to book it just let me know :)
