BUF to MCO in December?

Has anyone ever flown from Buffalo to MCO in December? What kinds of rates did you get?

I am thinking about popping down for a weekend in december, the first, second or third weekend, not christmas week...but the rates are really high! Do you think they'll come down? I'm used to paying around 49/each way (USD) during the summers. Did they release any dings for last december? If so, how much were they?

We went Dec. 10th to the 17th last year. My family of 5 was $496 (US). I think my Ding rate was around $43- $49.

Were going the first week in December and our rates already dropped 3 times! But have now gone really high again.... We got ours for $56 a way without dings.... There up to october in dings, so i guess we'll find out soon if any dings are coming out.

I flew December 11-17 last year BUF-MCO. I got my DING on Aug 31st.

That being said through... I just waited 3 months for a DING fare BUF-DEN... I got it 11 days ago and I fly out tomorrow and it's not even a great DING fare, but I'll take what I can get.

Thanks to reading the Canadian board for the past two years I think I FINALLY have SWA figured out (to some degree anyway ). I have to thank the Canadian disers who post about BUF, the information is incredible. A big heart felt THANK YOU to all of you.

This is my plan for our Dec/Jan trip:
I purchased the $54 sale fare for me, DD and DS for December BUF-MCO.
I am now waiting on a sale fare or DING for DH (flying BUF-MCO mid-Dec).
I am also waiting for a sale fare or a DING for the four of us to fly home (to BUF) in January.

I really don't want to have to wait for a DING since they now seem to be becoming available MUCH closer to flight date then in the past.
I am hoping for a nice $54 sale fare and then not have to worry about watching for a last minute ding fare.

I also have car rentals lined up for drop off at MCO, TPA, or RSW (Ft. Myers). We are quite flexible as to where we will fly home from (we are ending our holiday in Siesta key this year) as well as have a 2 day window as to when we can fly home.
Hopefully by doing this, we will be able to secure $54 fares for the 5 flight segments I still need to book.

To those who are waiting for Dec/Jan SWA fares, perhaps consider flying home from more then one airport if at all possible. This may open up more options as to getting a good fare price.
