Buena Vista Suites?????

Hi, All!

We have one night booked at Buena Vista Suites and I am wondering about the free breakfast buffet. We are arriving in Orlando the day before Easter. We should be rolling in around 1pm and heading to the Buena Vista Suites to check in. Then, it's off to DTD for a late lunch/early dinner at T-Rex before heading over to the MK for the evening festivities.

We are staying at our DVC home starting on Easter Sunday. My dad and I want to get up early on Easter Sunday, eat breakfast, and head over to the AKV to get us checked in. Then, we plan to drive back to BVS to pick up mom, DH and the kids, who will want to sleep in.

So, as far as the free breakfast buffet is concerned...how does it work? Is it like a continental set up where you just walk in, serve yourself and find a seat? Or is there an actual hostess or waitress who seats you and brings you your drinks and then you help yourself? Also, does anyone know what time the breakfast is served? I am trying to decide if dad and I should just get up and go, then eat with everyone else when we return, or if we should eat first and let the rest of the group eat while we're gone.

I was there 18 months ago and its a full american breakfast (eggs, breakfast meat, fruit, eggs cooked to order, etc.) you just walk in and serve yourself drinks and all. One morning they did ask to see our keys because I think they were having a function there.

We stayed there one night two years ago, at Christmas time.

I really like the room set up except he TV did not work in the main bedroom.
For one night we did not stress over it.

The breakfast opened about an hour later than we would have liked. We wanted an early start so we could get checked into DVC and get to a park. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the door to open. I wish I could remember if it was 7 or 8 AM. I don;t think it was earlier than that though.

The breakfast was very good. You waked in the main door to the dining area and the stepped to the left in to the buffet stations. The fruit was not fresh but frozen chunks but was still acceptable. The juices and coffee were plentiful and lots of hot and cold breakfast items.

We were not checked for our keys.

I would stay there again on a future trip!

Thanks for the info! If the breakfast doesn't start until 8am, then I think Dad and I will just head over to AKV and eat when we come back. Since we will probably be out unitil 10:30-11pm, the rest of the family won't wake up until about 9am anyways. My internal "vacation" clock wakes me up at 6am every day, regardless of when I went to bed, so I can definitely get to AKV and back before the others wake up.
