Buena Vista Suites or Radisson Resort Parkway or other?

DH and I are wanting to make use of our APs and do another trip to Disney before our anniversary in August. But we're trying to do this trip on a little better budget than we normally do. So we decided to stay off property. We're coming down Thurs. May 12 and leaving Monday May 16.

We do want a nice hotel. We must have a king bed. High speed internet would be nice but is not a deal breaker. We don't necessarily care about pools or free breakfasts.

We were thinking about either Buena Vista Suites or Radisson Resort Parkway. We can get BV for $103/night, plus tax. We can get Radisson for $97 for the first night and $117 for the Fri, Sat. Sun.

Are these nice places? Or would you suggest some place else? We looked at Grosvenor, but it was way too expensive. Also looked at Sheraton Safari and they're booked up for the weekend.

I looked at PO Riverside and FQ and also POP Century on property - they all sound nice, but we'd like to get a guaranteed King bed and we weren't sure if we could get a good AP rate at that time of year. This is kind of a last minute trip.

Any suggestions would be a huge help!

Thanks,
Rachael

www.hotelkingdom.com has a studio at Cypress Pointe for $58.56 a night. It says it has a king size bed. Or they have Cypress Palms one bdrm suite(says king bed also) for $88.50 a night , i have read this place is really nice.

call CRO and see what they say.

I love last minute trip - aren't they the BEST!

Thanks, we're also seeing what kind of deal we can get at POR or POP but we figure we'll probably go with Buena Vista or Radisson unless we just get an amazingly good deal.

We are going to buena vista suites in december, because I wanted the king bed and whirlpool tub.

FYI,
I just had quite the experience with a representative at Buena Vista Suites. Called around 2:00 (MTN) on a Friday, just asking some simple questions about shuttles routes: where they go, if they go directly to DD, if they go to Universal, how late they come back, just wanting some specifics for my vacation, I would rather not be stranded in a place I've never been. Well, apparently I wasn't asking politely, the lady started getting an attitude instead of trying to understand what exactly I was asking. I asked her why she was getting so upset, which made her more upset. She said rudely, "Well you asked me the question three times!" I said, " Well, you know what I'd probably rather not stay here anyway, I wont ask you anymore questions." She said, "Good." and hung up the phone.
Anyway, maybe it was just bad chemistry. But I would reccommend not staying there, less chance of having a similar experince.
I hope that helps.
Have fun!

We have ressie's at BVS starting on Wednesday. We'll be back in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know how it its.

PS - I'd take Soft Spell's post with a grain of salt. The same thing was posted on every existing Buena Vista Suites thread. :confused3

We've stayed at the Radisson and it was very nice. We're staying at BVS in two weeks so I can tell you then. I think the BVS is a little closer, but we mainly picked it because we're bringing DD's boyfriend and wanted a little more room at a lot less price then WDW can give us! This is just a 2 day trip anyway so as long as it's clean, I really don't care!
