Buena Vista Palace-any recent visits?

Just for curiousity! Has anyone stayed at the Buena Vista Place since some renovations have taken place. I have some tripadvisors reviews but only 2 seemed to be after the renovations. How was customer service, atmosphere, food choices? The website looks very nice.

No visits ?Trying to decide maybe to stay at the DT Disney area hotels instead of onsite..maybe to save money on food and little bit of more room plus interior rooms. Will be visiting June 2007

this won't be any help, but we are staying there in 3 weeks, facing downtown disney. Last year we were there on the 24th floor,I loved everybit of it, the pool is not a big deal, but its nice. the ac/s are quite so dont get a corner room if you can help it, otherwise you will have to deal with a lot of shutting doors. Our room then was as good as it could get. I hope we get one just as nice this year as now I have certain expectations from them. Aslo the price certainly dips in sept, then when oct comes it goes up 70 bucks a night. I dont know why.
