Is this close to DLR? Is it worth it to go?

We went to a show like this in Vegas sans kids, but I thought the kids would like it too & thought we'd try it out our 1st night there since we won't go to the parks until the next morning.

In Vegas w/ the knights they involved the audience - do they do that w/ the pirate show as well?

We did Medivial a few years ago while at DL and we loved it. Our kids were 5(dd) & 10(ds). The kids are hoping to do Pirates when we go Nov 2008. We did the front row package and our dd was presented with a sash from the knight, she was over the moon!

they are not very far away... but definately not walking distance... probably a 10-15min drive up the 5, west on the 91.

We have done them both. The pirate show they include and use the audience, my girls and my DBF were all chosen to participate. Not me though, I cheered loudly for them though! LOL I think we liked the pirate show better, more food choices (great for picky kids) and it was easier to see, the lights were never completely off. If you go to this one make sure you get there early enough to watch the pre show and to eat the yummy and free appetizers!! In the knight show they turn the lights all the way down so the kids can't see what they are eating...mine didn't much of anything. LOL But we all loved the show.....the use actual swords, we've got pictures and all you can see are sparks from the swords!

In terms of the food. . . it's not much to speak of. . .

The Pirate's dinner has more of an appeal for adults. The men are super buff and they do acrobatic sort of things. In addition, there is an act where a dude and chick are in the sky with a ring connected to their necks. Very impressive.

The Pirate's dinner also has a lot more child involvement than Medieval times in that the kids actually participate in the "competitions" and dress up for the grand finale.

I went for half price, at around $22/person with my wife and my assistant Manager and his wife and 3 year old boy. The kid seemed to like it, and I liked the acrobatics part.

But then for kids (though I don't have any), I'm guessing it's more about what kids are more obsessed with. Knights or Pirates?
