Budgeting time to get to my ADRs

So, most days I have planned what parks I want to be in based on my ADRs, no hopping from park to park needed. (Though I will have park hopper.) In some cases, if I have to change parks at all, I can just take the monorail from MK to Epcot or vice versa. There are 2 notable exceptions, however.

One day we have a 8:30 am ressie at Kouzzina (Epcot opens at 9a). Another day we'll be spending the day in AK but have tickets for the 5:15 luau at the Poly. We're staying at CSR, and I'm a first time ECV user with a 5yo. We will be dependent on Disney transportation, not renting a car.

All that set-up said (whew)--

How much time ahead of my ADR should I budget so we get there on time?

Thank you so much for your help, fellow DISers!

Only 2 days to go! :wizard: princess:

We always budget an hour if we are going to use WDW transportation. That's just our general rule.

For Kouzzina, you are going to need to catch a bus from your resort to DHS and then take the boat from DHS to the Boardwalk where this restaurant is located. So you might want to leave yourself a bit more time in case you have to wait on the boat (it comes about every 15 minutes). You DO NOT want to take a bus to Epcot as you will be a long way from the Boardwalk without any way of getting there.

If you're just going from MK to Epcot or vice versa, then an hour should be good.

To get to Kouzzina, I'd follow Pakey's directions and plan to be at your resort bus stop around 7:15.

For the Luau, if you're coming from AK, then an hour should be good. If you're going to the Poly from CSR, then I'd be at the bus stop around 4:00, go to MK, and then hop the monorail or a boat over to the Poly.

So I guess the general rule here would be if you only have to take 1 transportation leg (MK - Epcot, or CSR - DHS, for example), then plan on an hour.

If you have more than one leg of a journey (Bus to DHS, then Boat to BWI for Kouzzina), allow 75-90 minutes.

With you using an ECV, I would allow at least 1 1/2 hours, because you may not be able to get on the first bus that comes if there are others ahead of you. That is what we do. I don't think the buses start running until 1 hour before park opening and sometimes not even that early, just a word of warning from prior experience.
