Hi
My friends school is having a large indoors tag sale in two weeks. only $20 a 10 x 10 table. This will be a great place to make my extra Disney stuff money. hopefully a Pal Mickey. Anyway my DD is downsizing her room since she is off to college. So i have lots of stock to sell. I have taken the best stuff out and as soon as I get less lazy I will put them on e-bay. As for the rest of the stuff it is not coming back in the house afterwards. I want to put a sign up about an hour before tag sale is over offering fill a bag for $3.00. Question is a hour to late to do this? Should i tell people to come back? I don't want to stop someone from buying hoping they will get it in a bag full later. But then again I want them to come back. They are doing some kind of raffle so people will be hanging around to see if they win anything. Anything else anyone can offer in selling ideas? i have several boxes of 5, 10 and 25 cent items. I did take several things and put them together in lots.
Looking for suggestions, tips and ideas.
I'll let you know what much i make.
Thanks Linda

Okay.... what size bag and what kind of stuff? I am a bit of a yard sale professional (have held them for nonprofit org. such as churches, Cancer Society, etc). The only thing we have ever sold by the bag was clothes.... Fill a bag for $1.00. In that case we usually have plastic grocery bags on hand. And we usually have that all day. If we have some really nice clothes, like coats, gowns, snowsuits, we usually hang them and price them differently, but all other clothes just get folded on a table or tarp with a pile of bags next to it. And if the yard sale is due to end at say 2pm, we usually start marking stuff down by noon. You usually get much less traffic after noon so your stuff has got to be ready to MOVE.

Also, think of it this way..... "I can take 50cents for that item, or I can pack it up and take it to the dump." Which would you rather do? Sure, if the stuff is nice I would Ebay it, but you already stated that you had put the Ebay stuff aside. I would rather take less $ than be forced to make a trip to the dump...............P

I have plastic grocery bags. They can have whatevers on the table. Like I say it's not coming back home. I did this at my last tag sale at the house and got rid of a lot of stuff. I figure 10 bags are $30. Like I said the school is going to have a raffle at will be drawn before closing, so I know lots of people will return to see if they win any raffle prizes.
Noon does sound like it might be a better time to start fill a bag. I will price the items pretty cheap to begin with.
