I'm tryng to get to Disney on a budget trip....Very Budget. Unfortunately I can't go during free dining, if its offered becuase of work. We've stayed on site mostly, but am willing to stay offsite.

I'm trying to to go for a week, 2 adults one child. I will get park hoppers for all of us, accomodations airfare and rental care for $2000. I'm willing to cook some of our meals and eat offsite for some others.

Tickets: $750
Airfare: $600
Car: $200

That leaves me $450 for accomodations. We be able to go in May or October because of work. Any ideas on places to stay?

There is a condo or townhouse available for $599 per week in October, it would be from the 11th-17th or the 25th-31st for the condo, and 4th-11th, or 18th-25th for the townhouse. It's out of your budget by $150, I don't know if you could manage that. But you'll have 3 bedrooms/2 bath with the condo, 3bed/3bath with a splash pool with the townhouse, and it's on a wonderful resort community.
Then in May of 2009, the same condo is available for $499. Closer to your budget, but a year away.
All of these options are cheaper than you can stay onsite... unless a good code comes out for the value resorts.

This is the site I was checking, http://www.vacationcentralflorida.com .
They had the most reasonable prices I could find at Windsorhills, and GREAT reviews from everyone here. It's VERY close to Disney. It's closer to some Disney parks than some of the Disney resorts.

I think that staying in your budget is doable.. keep searching and asking for help here.

Good Luck!

We picked up an II getaway week for this May for a little over $450 at a Marriott Timeshare. If you are an II member or know someone who is, this is a good option. May and October are slower seasons, so you should be able to get something in your price range. Is your $2000 budget allowing for any food or spending money?

Check out SkyAuction's Vacation Rentals. You can rent condos for about $300 for a week. Check out the reviews on tripadvisor so you know what to expect from each resort.

Also...if you or someone in your family works for the government....town, municipal, state or federal...you can use www.govarm.com. They rent condos for about $330 a week. Also....getravelop.com.

If not...check cyberrentals for places like WindsorHills. Email the owners and ask them for their "best" rate for the dates you are going.

You can also check www.vacationtimesharerentals.com. You can rent a timeshare for an owner for a week.

Luckily, there are tons of places to stay in Orlando that are very nice and reasonably priced.

Also...try hotelkingdom.com. Some of the resorts they have are very nice and reasonable.

Hope these ideas help!!

This condo at Grand Palms in the Lindfields area got good reviews a couple months ago. I bookmarked it for future use. It fits your budget.

Here's a map to show you where Grand Palms is.

Very easy to get to Disney from there and there's lots of restaurants along that stretch of 192. There's a Publix grocery store about 3 min. from there and a super Walmart on 27 about 6 min away. :)

The place Sympatico suggested looks great. Here are some I found that might fit your budget.

I have not stayed at any of these, I just did a quick VRBO.com search and noticed these would fit your price range.
Another suggestion would be for you to stay at Comfort Suites Main Gate East. Their rooms sleep 6 and they have free deluxe continental breakfast with make your own waffles. You can get a $77 rate during October or May through hotelmartusa.com or possibly an even lower rate using the orlando magic card through this link.

It would take you over budget but you would save on breakfast. As for your other meals, there are so many budget places to eat off site. If you stay along 192 here is a map of all the different businesses that you will find.
