In Florence, SC there is a great restaurant about 5 minutes off the interstate. It's called Red Bone Alley and has a little play area for kids with a real ice cream truck for them to play in! The interior has a great atmosphere, set up like an outdoor cafe--it's huge, though, used to be a grocery store. www.redbonealley.com

There's also a mall with a food court and a Barnes & Noble right off the interstate in Florence. Take the I-20 Business exit and it's immediately on your left.
