Can anyone tell me if Budget has LARGE SUV's (meaning Ford Expedition or Excursion).

OR does anyone have the local # to the MCO counter.

Thanks
Karen

Thanks for your reply, maraakl. I see that Budget does "have" the full size SUV's, but it doesn't say if they actually have any at MCO. That's what I'm hoping to find out.

Thanks!

Karen,
Call the toll free and ask for a list of what is available at MCO and, also ask for their telephone number. The nationwide number should have a list of both their stations and what is available at any given station in the US.

I just spoke with Budget customer service (not MCO directly). I was told that they do have the full size SUV's.

My next question to her was if I could use my "double upgrade" coupon that I got with my Fastbreak enrollment to upgrade to the full size from the Minivan. She didn't know.

So at least I know they have them....maybe we have a chance

Karen

Karen,
Curiosity has me here because we too have a minivan reserved through Budget. My question is why would you prefer the full size SUV over the van?

Melissa

I too would like to know if you can use the double upgrade coupon! I enrolled for the fastbreak yesterday so I haven't received my information yet and I heard that it comes with a coupon. So since I am currently using a discount code can I still use that coupon if I get one for a free upgrade?

We just signed up for Fastbreak. I have an existing reservation, can I use Fastbreak with it? How does Fastbreak work at MCO? And, if I get an upgrade coupon, what would the upgrade be from a luxury car?

Thanks! ;)

maciec, More room (and my husbands ego ;) ) We're bringing my IL's and we have 2 kids (1 & 2), so that means double stroller, and lots of luggage. We're looking for the extra space.

I will be calling Budget today to ask about the coupon. I'll let you know!

Karen

CaliforniaDreaming, Just call Budget and have them link your Fastbreak account to your current reservation. That's what we did.

We don't go for a few more weeks, but from what I hear when you get to the Car Rental Lobby, ignore the counter...and follow the signs directly out to the garage. There will be a place there for Fastbreak customers.

Karen

Well, I just got off the phone with Budget Customer service. The woman I talked to today told me that MCO does NOT have Full Size SUV's at that location.

So 2 different calls, 2 different answers :( I'm still going to bring my coupon. I know with Dollar, if you bring the coupon and they happen to have something available they will honor it. Maybe Budget will be the same...

Karen

Karen,
If memory serves, the coupon states what you can upgrade to.
I think the limit is from intermediate to full size.
Did you ask for the number for the MCO station? I think a call to them would pretty much put this to bed for you. :)

Try this number: (407) 816-4500. I believe the first time you use Fast Break you need to go to the counter.

maraakl,

I tried that #, it is the Orlando Regional office. The "administration" prompt is no longer in service, and it directs you to the 1-800#.

Thanks though!

Does anyone know this for sure? I dont want to be lost when I get there and not know where to go.

Are there usually long lines in the AM?

My experience with a Full-Size SUV wasn't recent, it was in 2000, but we reserved a "Ford Expedition or similar" and got a GMC Yukon XL (they told us they'd be bringing around an Expedition, so we had to wait, then after 10 minutes, they called us back over to the counter, and said we'd have the Yukon XL).

We rented a Full-Size SUV from National last month, and it was a Dodge Durango (the website says it's the Durango, but I called the station a few months before we left, they said it would be a Suburban, but last month they said they have all Durangos).
