We are headed down to WDW in May for a SUPER buget trip. We are going to look at Shades of Green & The Hyatt Grand Cypress & we are also going to meet with a Disney FTW coodinator to look into the Escape package.

Now, I just found out YESTERDAY that i got a coveted internship for the summer which is GREAT for my future but BAD for our finances! we would have cancelled this upcoming trip if we had been within the 30 day cancel window. So I guess its a blessing that we still get to go!

I HAD been planning to take my hubby-to-be to California Grill for a romantic dinner, but now that we are on a tight budget, I dont think he will enjoy it as much.

Any suggestions? I am thinking maybe OHanas with a walk on the beach? Or maybe just a walk on the beach? Can you get a drink to go at the Poly?

Any budget friendly night out suggestions? We will have park tickets for a couple of days so please anything you could suggest would be great!

Frankly, for the price of two meals at Ohana, you guys could split a meal at California Grill and still get to have a fabulous time (just skip the booze and get a Mickey bar in the parks for dessert)!

But I do like the idea of a drink at the Poly and a walk on the beach. Maybe you could even do a picnic on the beach! There are also free campfire programs where they show a movie and sell $7 s'mores kits on the beaches at Grand Floridian, Yacht & Beach Club, and Fort Wilderness.

Another free thing we enjoyed was taking the Disney boat transportation around the various lakes - the small ones on Seven Seas Lagoon are especially romantic. One night we took a boat to the Magic Kingdom right before closing and rode Big Thunder Mountain a couple of times (practically by ourselves) as people were streaming out of the park.

I guess none of this sounds particularly romantic, but when you're together at Disney, anything can become romantic! :cloud9:

One of my favorite romantic things to do is eat at Ohanas, and lay on the hammocks to watch wishes at the Poly beach. Their drink stand by the pool does sell some drinks you can take to the beach with you.

we were going to do a pinic at the beach of poly to watch wishes fireworks display. ^_^
