Budget rental cars???

I always read about Avis as the car rental company of choice to get from MCO to the port. However, when checking prices, Budget prices are $5 less one way and $10 less the other way.

Has anyone recently used Budget to get back and forth. How quickly were their shuttles, and how was their service?

The reservation lady said we would have to call for a shuttle, but I would think they would be running them automatically when the ships come in, since that is a big part of their business.

I also reserved a car in St. Thomas from Budget, again $10 cheaper than Avis. Has anyone used them there?

Any quick info would be appreciated. We leave in 5 days!!

Talk about coincidence! I just posted a thread about Budget at about the same time you did! Budget is $50 less than Avis for my trip-Hertz is just as cheap too. Hope someone answers!

The feedback on Budget from Dave's web site: www.dcltribute.com - looks very favorable. We just booked Budget rather than Avis for our upcoming trip in March - saved us $40 on each leg. Be sure to go to www.mousesavers.com and pick up the walmart discount code for budget - it saved us 10-15% (the Sam's code would have saved us 25%, but you have to rent for 5 days).

We used Budget on our recent Disney cruise (1/19) and it was great! We dropped off the rental and were quickly shuttled over to the ship. Our driver was very courteous and we were dropped off right by the front doors.
Upon our return we informed our porter that we were using Budget. He walked our luggage into the parking lot where we found 2 Budget vans waiting. It could not have been easier!
