Budget or Alamo?

We normally rent from Budget, but Alamo rates are better for our upcoming trip. Wondering if it is worth going with Alamo to save a little or should we just stick with Budget?

We've always had good experiences with Budget after joining Fastbreak (I think that's what it's called, lol). Before, though, waiting at the counter would always take a while, then we'd always have to wait for a car. Fastbreak has always been we've gone out to the garage, been handed keys, and were on our way.

That said, our next trip I booked with Alamo due to the great rates. I'm a little concerned about it too. I'm wondering if we should join their "express" service, or maybe even use their online check-in (haven't heard much about this). I have a reservation with Dollar, too, so I'm not sure if I should just go with them and pay the extra $40.

Depends how much the savings is. Budget tends to have a much shorter line than Alamo (although that varies by time of day), and I am a Fastbreak member so that makes it even quicker. But if that savings was more than $5 to $10 or so, I'd probably go with Alamo. The price difference has to be enough to offset the potential long line wait.
