We're flying out of the new Jetblue terminal at JFK, and after checking it out on the website, it looks like most of the eateries are sit down restaurants. We'll be heading to the airport at lunchtime, and I guess we could get some McD's before leaving, but were hoping to find something at JFK. We'll be on DXDP once we arrive at WDW, but won't be eating dinner there till about 8:30. I noticed Dunkin Donughts on the list (not sure what they'd have other than bagels) and Cheeburger Cheeburger (which we'd love to try, but heard it is like 15/person). It'll be DH, DD6, and me. Any good choices, or should we bring something with us?

If I remember correctly there was a food court type area in the new terminal. It seems like there was some sort of pasta bar, Cheeburger (which was lousy and expensive), a Chinese place, and maybe something else there. Our flight arrived late and the only thing that was still open was Cheeburger so we didn't have any choices. It seemed like they did have yogurt and fresh fruit available (you order at the counters and then pay at a different counter.)

I know they opened a new terminal but the old jetblue terminal had a big food court area wth a boars head sandwich place, cheeburger cheeburger, a mexican place, salad place, chinese place, and pizza place, in addition to a dunkin donuts, coffee area, a couple of those cibo pick up a sandwich/ready made stuff type places, and a yogurt place..I'm assuming the new terminal should have similar stuff. There were definitely 2 sit down places also.

There is not a lot in the low end category at the new terminal. There are some sit-down places and some of the higher-end counter service stuff (like Cheeburger). Most stand-alone Dunkin Donuts have sandwiches and stuff, but the one at JFK only has a limited menu and you'd be hard pressed to get a meal from them.

I'd pack a sandwich and then you'd only have to buy the $2+ drinks in the terminal. :headache: Some of the water bottles are over $4. I think the drinks were cheaper at the Hudson book place than in the food court area; you may want to investigate.

I'll second the bringing your own. I've done that the last few flights and plan to again in Aug when we go to WDW next. For my family, I usually get bagels (we all eat them and they're more 'special' than sandwiches since we don't have them every day), goldfish, cheese stick plus some sort of 'sweet' (small package of M&M's). I bring small sports water bottles for the kids and buy one big bottle of lemonade after security and split it between them. THen I always buy a bottle of water too.

Less expensive, less junk food, less to do when at the airport (in addition to going thru security, finding the gate, doing last minute potty, etc.) and YUMMY!

I agree...if you can bring your own. The food at jFK is overpriced imo. Anyway we have eaten at the Au bon Pain...They ahve a communal area with a few counterservice places but it was still $10 or for breakfast sandwiches:confused3

hot water is available everywhere :) just dont forget to bring a plastic fork. You can eat them anytime anywhere -- tho not the healthiest option of course, I rather spent my premium food dollars on fresh fruit to round things out.
