Looking to detox for three to five days and I would love to find a BluePrint-like cleanse that isn't $200. Yikes!

Any thoughts? Really looking for quality ingredients here.

Thanks!

Well, there's always the Master cleanse that's been around for about 60 years.

Just google master cleanse or "lemon cayenne maple syrup cleanse" and you'll find many, many websites describing it. I haven't done it, but know people who've done it for health reasons or (more commonly) to diet down fast for an event (mostly HS reunions).

The only thing you really have to buy that's pricey is maple syrup. I think it calls for freshly squeezed lemons, but the folks I've known who've done it have used bottled juice.

Not my cuppa, but each to his own. Who knows, I'm vain enough about my photopass photos that I may try it right before I go to WDW this fall.:goodvibes

I remember seeing this on Real Housewives. It looks more like a starvation cleanse. I wanted something with real substance, you know? Real juices pre-bottled.

Hey, my idea of a cleanse is flaxseed pancakes with no-sugar maple "syrup" :rotfl: which is probably not the same thing.

I've been doing a juice cleanse for just over two weeks (juice for breakfast and lunch and a sensible dinner) and was surprised by the amount of juice I got from raw cabbage, and more surprised that I didn't mind the taste of it. In the morning I generally get just over 40 oz. of juice from a small bunch of kale, a pound of carrots, 1/4 of a head of cabbage, a small bunch of cilantro, a piece of ginger and a medium sized apple.

Ok, look up Fast Sick and Nearly dead. I can't remember the guys name but he has a website with info.

Juice Master is a another site

Next is a healthy cleanse. Not a juice one though.

Go to Ivysbridge and all the info is on there.

8oz Apple juice unfiltered (you can juice that)
2 TBS aloe juice
2 TBs chlorophyll
1 tsp psyhillium hulls
2 casada casgara in pill form.

It will clean you out but won't be so harsh to interrupt your day.

I had a friend who went on that 'master cleanse' and it messes up her metabolism and now she can't lose any weight at all.
I'd stay away from that one.

Why don't you make a green smoothie instead? Check out greensmoothiegirl.

This way you get the liquid nutrients and all the vitamins and vegetables in one. Without starving yourself.

they have a mix of recipes for food, smoothies, and juices.

i had a co-worker who did a budget juice cleanse last week. she made her own green smoothies and then bought juice for lunch/dinner a la carte (it was blueprint i think she found it at a store in NYC). she looked good and healthy.

i have seen people do the master cleanse and it is not pretty. they lose weight but look terrible and starved.

check out pintrest, they have quite a few recipes for juicing. Some of them are cleansing juicing recipes. Just type in cleansing juice recipes and you will see many.
I was thinking about doing one but have some health issues right now so I am going to wait till everything is better but definately will use some of those recipes they sounded tasty.
