Budget icons don't help me--advice needed on capacity

There will be 11 of us going from Sanford airport to Port Canaveral the day before we cruise, and of course back to Sanford the day we get back. The best prices for the agencies in PC are for Budget. The price for 2 minivans or 3 cars is about the same; however a 12 person full size van is cheaper. But will it hold luggage for 6 adults and 5 kids? The fewer drivers the better, since drivers will drop us off at the port and go back to Budget and get the shuttle, but I don't want us to be holding luggage in our laps for an hour each way. You would think that if it holds 12 people it would hold their stuff, but from their little luggage icons I can't tell.

You might run out of space for the 11 people and luggage in the 12 person van. If I were doing it, I would likely rent the two minivans, even though it is somewhat cheaper. It would give more flexibility for arranging the luggage. That is, you might consider a driver and the kids in one minivan and the excess luggage.

But, of course, it all depends on how much luggage you have.

If you are just using the rental to get to the port and back why not price out a town car?

Fl Tours (above as a sponser) and Tiffany have both given us great service to and from WDW.

Be careful requesting the 12 person van. Most rental companys don't have many on hand and you could get stuck waiting for one (my friend got stuck waiting for over 2 hours for one to come in) I've seen alot of companys offer free upgrades if your size vehicle is unavailable but since you're reserving the largest van in their fleet, you can't get upgraded and they won't give you 2 smaller vans for the price of the larger one.

Be careful with both the minivan and the large vans... a lot of the time, the seats will go all the way to the trunk area, reducing luggage space.

Personally, I doubt the 12 passenger van will have the luggage capacity for your group. The mini-vans might be tight.

Have you tried looking around for a towncar service? A lot of companies have 12 passenger vans, and then tow a small u-haul type trailer for luggage. Not sure how much they'd be, but it might be comparable, especially if it removes the hassle of picking up and dropping off the rentals.

The problem with town cars is that we will arrive in Sanford on Friday morning, and then our flight doesn't leave until 7PM the day we get back. If we use a town car we will be trapped at the Radisson and then depend on their shuttle, then be stuck at the airport for hours. We want to be able to check out Port Canaveral Friday night and possibly go the space center Saturday before we leave.
If we go with 3 cars that means DH, BIL and Dad will all be coming in later after they drop the rest of us off and return the cars. I get paranoid about that and I'm sure Dad will be stressing. That's why we may go with the minivans; at least Dad will be at check in--I know DH and BIL can handle coming into the terminal later.
