I was kinda shocked to see hotels with the average about $200. We will be going Oct 22-25 and would like clean with ART access.

I have searched tripadvisor and Agoda till my eyes hurt.

Do you have suggestions for a budget hotel? Breakfast would be great.

October is Halloween Time at DLR -- a very popular, very busy time in the parks! Hotel rates are high for a reason -- especially since SWGE will be a bonus this year.
Here are some threads with good information to help you:

Help please! Safe clean hotel within walking distance or good shuttle times?

Don't limit yourself to hotels on the ART routes. You can stay at a hotel near the TS lot and use the free shuttles there. You can stay at a hotel near the M&F structure and use the free tram. Use Google Maps to see which hotels are near TS and M&F. A few hotels have private shuttles (e.g. Majestic Garden and Candy Cane Inn). Some hotels use their own shuttles, not ART (e.g. Embassy Suites Garden Grove, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton Inn & Suites -- all located next to each other). And don't forget that sometimes using Uber/Lyft can be less expensive than ART.

Thank you for the help. I know how to get around Orlando and Paris but Anaheim is giving me a run for my money. I will see what else I can find using the resources you have provided.

We didn't get free breakie but we did book at the Double Tree by Hilton and will take the ART. It is refundable so we can keep trying to find a place closer with breakie but for now we have a place.

We’ve stayed at the DoubleTree a couple times in the past and will be staying there again in April. We’ve used ART to get to/from the parks and have also walked to/from the parks as it’s not too far. There’s a gas station at the end of the block that we go to to get drinks and breakfast items. My family isn’t big breakfast eaters so packaged donuts/muffins work for us.

Candy Cane is a good choice (love their designated shuttle), but there are also several Best Westerns in the area. I've not stayed at all of them, but they all seem to have consistently good reviews. Park Place Inn and Anaheim Inn are closer to the park entrance (but cost more) than Stovall's (my fave BW choice), Pavilions and Raffles are all lower cost, but good options that serve breakfast and offer transportation choices whether its walking into one of the Disney parking lots and taking a shuttle or using ART or Uber/Lyft.

Desert Inn & Suites has a regular room for your dates for $149 a night (2 queens). They are right at the crosswalk, no need for ART, 5 minutes walk to security. Not fancy, but clean and safe. Breakfast is continental-- kind of lame, just pastries, cereal, juice, coffee-- but free. We usually ate in the room anyway-- rooms have fridge and microwave.

Mousesavers is offering a rate for the Hilton Anaheim for $100 per night in celebration of Hilton's 100th anniversary. Book before April 15th for stays between now and Nov. 18th. I have not stayed at this hotel but I see they do offer a hotel shuttle and their website also states they are within walking distance. Here is the link with more info if you are interested! https://www.mousesavers.com/hilton-anaheim-near-disneyland/#rate2

I was just checking that link. Unfortunately, most of the dates are sold out already. There are a few left at $99 in August/September, Sunday through Thursday stays, for a single King room. 2 queens is $109.

And know that there is $21-26/night for parking there, too. It IS a nice hotel though. :)
