Since I haven't seen a thread I thought that I would start one. What kind of budget friendly stocking stuffers is everyone buying? I'll start:

For DH- Haven't started
Considering using my Staples Rewards and purchasing a flash drive and pens that he likes.

DDs 4 and 5- each of them is getting...
Silly Bands (found TY brand for $1.99 each)
Wind up toys (Michael's for $1 each)
Disney Markers (Michael's for $1 each)
Disney Princess necklaces/bracelets (Michael's $1 each)
Barbie dress ($3- at Walmart)

DS 9 months
Bath Squirters 10 pack- ($4 Walmart....had purchased them for a party but forgot to use them)

Everyone
Candy (purchased Halloween candy on clearance for $.30 a bag...and there's no Halloween labels)

I'm still working on the rest, especially for DH and the grandparents, but I'm almost done :cool1:. So what's in your stockings?

Here is a thread that I started last year. It has some really great ideas!

I always do:
toothbrushes, hair bands, pens, gum, earrings, nail polish.
Older kids get razor refills(not budget friendly) dental floss, Itunes cards,
I have a hard time with my teen boy!

I stuff my ds18 stocking with razors, shaving cream, toothbrush, axe spray, socks, American Eagle funny boxers, rolled up pajama bottoms, gum, his favorite snacks, candy, wiffle balls (yes, they have fierce wiffle ball games here and the dog steals them), slam magazine, gloves, hat...Now that he's in college, I'll probably give him school supplies, and other dorm stuff.

For my dd15 razors, toothbrush, crest white strips, perfume, socks, pj's, gum snacks, nail polish, makeup, hair accessories, magazines, gloves, hat...

As you can tell they have very large stockings that were hand knitted for them when they were born. It was easy to fill with cheap stuff when they were little. Not so cheap now.

I think Santa is practical by the time he gets to us LOL For the teens/tween boys he leaves body soap, body sprays, deoderant (hmm, wonder if Santa is spreading a message?) toothbrush and toothpaste. He also leaves candy and a small toy item or two. GC's in small amounts.

This year (in addition to shower and hygiene stuff) boys 14 and 11 are getting:

Pez dispensers, mini lightsabers, Mentos gum, GC (11 yo iTunes, 14 yo ??) 11 yo is getting a Darth Vader stress ball and light up yo yo, 14 yo will get ??

DD 8 will get zoobles, squinkies, Monster High doll, iTunes GC, Pez dispenser, candy and bath gel, toothbrush, toothpaste

DS 7 will get Toy Story cars, Yoda coloring book (and crayons), light up yo yo, mini lightsaber, Pez dispenser, candy, bath gel, toothbrush, toothpaste. A GC but not sure to where.

DH is going to find a couple of Febreeze set and refresh (he has to stay in extended stay hotels for business and HATES hotel smell LOL), shower gel, toothbrush and candy.

Santa is leaving one NON-budget item in my stocking (a Chamilia charm) and some candy and a toothbrush. Also some Victoria's Secret lotion/spray and a GC because I need unmentionables but don't want to unwrap them in front of the kids :scared1:

I like finding 3pks of large nail files & putting one in each of the females stockings. I think ULTA has them 5/$5 this week. Also toothbrushes.

For DD lots of little things I've picked up throughout the year. I also love to give fun pencils. I picked up some on our trip to Europe that I've been saving for stockings.

DD8-
itunes GC, fuzzy socks, pink pencils and pink paper pad, Nintendo DS games (got on sale), nail polish, lego set that had ostriches (she loves the lego animals), special coke bottle, snowglobe, panties

DS6-
bakugan, DS games, bubble bath, special coke bottle, slippers, glow-in-the-dark nerf darts, underwear

Hubby-
jerky, itunes GC, starbucks GC, underwear, mints,

I also do my mom, dad, sister, her hubby and my nephews.
They will get Gift Cards (Victorias Secret, Starbucks, Joanne Fabrics, and Itunes), nail polish, mascara, chocolate, nuts, legos, coloring books and crayons, books, jerky, knee high socks for my mom,

I LOVE STOCKINGS!

I forgot to list in my first post that we also do the basics just like everyone else. It's actually funny to see the same necessity items that appear to be in everyones stockings.

In DH stocking there will also be:
Razors
deodorant
toothbrush

DDs stockings there will also be:
toothbrushes
hairbands/barretts
chapstick or nail poilish

Me-wood race car, eye shadow ($5 elf), lipstick ($5 elf) and candy (i hope)
dc 10- candy, a ds game and a race car
Dc 12- lipstick, race car and ds game
mom- bath gel, candy,
tia- no clue
Downstairs cats- Mice and cat treats
Upstairs cats- Large toys and treats
Dog breath- treats and a pack of socks
Angel Dumott Schunard (shewie)- Hamster treats, toilet paper tubes

My favorite way to fill a large stocking for the kids, a large bottle of bubble bath! They even get character kinds for this special occasion. Yes I am that cheap that they never get the Spongebob/Scooby Doo, etc the rest of the year.

Does anyone have suggestions for a 2 yr old girl?

toothbrush, toothpaste, mittens, hairbands, crayons, playdough, toy cellphone, fisher price little people, small books, bubble bath, cute socks, winter hat, a favorite candy or treat, a plastic cup with a favorite character on it, sidewalk chalk, bottle of bubbles, a play necklace

DD14: rubber duckies (she wants to collect different ones), snoopy magic washcloth (Dollar Tree), Itunes GC, McDonald's GC, plush Snoopy (free at CVS with ECB's), toothbrush, candy.

DS13: flash drive, hot wheels car (tradition), Root Beer from Cracker Barrel, McDonald's GC, toothbrush, candy. Not sure what else yet.

DS12: hot wheels car, root beer from Cracker Barrel, McDonald's GC, Itunes GC, candy, toothbrush, wind-up flashlight, some other small odds and ends for camping.

DS9: hot wheels car, McDonald's GC, candy, toothbrush, Mighty Beanz, Silly Bands, ds stylus, Luigi figure, Ben 10 toy that is an accessory for another toy he already has.

DS6: hot wheels car, McDonald's GC, candy, toothbrush, Mighty Beanz, Silly Bands, post-it notes, gel pens or some other unique writing utensil.

When our girls were 2 I would purchased them 3 packs of little people when ShopKo would have them on sale. I would also hit the inexpensive toy isle at Walmart to purchase their brand of Magnidoodles (~$.88). Yup, I'm cheap but when I know it'll be destroyed....
I also did hair trinkets, bubble bath, a small package of cookies, crayons and coloring books, and mittens. I would also buy inexpensive books.

Does she like bath toys? You can get leters for the bathtub, bath crayons, or rubber ducks.

Refrigerator ABC magnets also make good stocking stuffers.

Some Dollar tree stuffers I found today:

for teen girls- athletic socks, airbrush nails

for 6yo DS- Mickey art set inside an ornament, Wolverine Pez, 2 pack Marvel comics, Bakugan markers and stamp set.

While not necessarily budget friendly - my DD16 always getsBreast Cancer Awreness products in her stocking. Mostly office supply stuff. If I stopped doing this - she would be very disappointed. This year's stocking will include a BCA t-shirt that is absolutely hilarious...and NO, she will not be able to wear it to school.:lmao: (There are many innuendos on it...definitely not school appropriate!)

pink is my favorite so I always ask for things from family in October for Christmas. I have gotten some really cool kitchen gadgets from breast cancer awareness. I got my DD8 some pink pencils and pink notebook also from them. :)

I get my kids stocking stuffers throughout the year, mostly at Target's clearance toy/after holiday sales. I think I spent about $10 or less per kid. They are getting:

DD-ClickStart game, Littlest Pet Shop, small stuffed animal, 2 mini Barbie dolls, Hello Kitty book
DS-ClickStart game, Littlest Pet Shop, small stuffed animal, 2 small games, toy animal

Not doing much for DH and myself; our big gift to each other is the Wii/Wii Fit/TSM, which is plenty for us.

The stockings at my house always include deodorants, loofah sponges, hairsprays/mouse, razors, shaving cream, etc. Everyday supplies.
