Budget FastBreak

I am between full size rental from Dollar and Budget. Price is the same. I have rented with Dollar Express before, but have never used Budget FastBreak. Budget allows both my husband and I both to drive (if we use Dollar only my husband will drive).

Our flight is arriving at 8:30pm.

What full size cars are usually available? Also, with FastBreak do you just head to the garage and a car will be assigned?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Can't help with the type of car. With fastbreak you go directly to the booth in the garage and they will give you your paperwork and which parking spot to get your car. You are assigned a car with them. My only suggestion would be to check over the car and report any type of scratch/ding to the attendant at the booth so you aren't blamed for anything. We didn't do this one time while renting with Budget (use them basically every trip) and there was a scratch on the front bumper that we were blamed for. After emailing Budget about things we were not charged for it but we now check the car and report anything and if its questionable, take a picture with a cell phone to cover yourself. Until that one time we have never had a problem - just a very overbearing return agent that time. Usually when we drop off the cars they don't really even care and never check anything. We will be using Budget again in Aug, Oct., and Jan. so we have no complaints about them.

The perk of fast break is not having to stand in line at the counter, you can go directly to the parked cars. Different airports have different procedures...some assign your car and you need to see attendant but others have your name listed on a board and direct you to which cars to pick from. When we were in Dallas in March, we walked out and could pick our car from the designated row. We let our daughter pick our car, the attendant noted which car we were taking and we were off. It was fun for her to be able to pick the car.
