Budget, couponing, grocery store help in DLR!!!!!

My family is headed to DLR this weekend for a week, we are doing this trip as super budget as we can get. We rented a house, so that we could cook 90% of meals at the house, or take a cooler to DLR and have lunch prepared already.

My question coming from PHX, what are the major grocery stores, I am a big time couponer, and I want to make a plan before I get there. I guess WM price matches there as well right?

We got most stuff from the Target near there. I think there is a safeway but I cant remember if thats where we got other groceries from....

Yes, there is a Target about a mile or two down Harbor on the left side. It should have just about everything you need. We don't have Safeway--it's Von's out here, but it takes your Safeway card. Don't know where it is, though. But I think they deliver.

There are several Vons, and Vons = Safeway as was already mentioned.

We usually hit Trader Joe's, too, b/c we like a lot of the stuff there.

Because we drive from NorCal, we also often hit the Costco a few miles up the road if we have time on the way in. They have a nice pre-made food department at that particular one, heat and serve-type family meals which on vacation sounds great to me because I like cooking, but don't want to spend too much time away from the park on my vacation prepping.

Ralph's is the Kroger/Fry's brand in CA and they will take your Fry's card. Not sure if they double coupons like here.

The Albertsons in SoCal are owned by a different company than the ones in AZ and the SoCal ones have a shopper card you would need. I think the sale items are usually the same.

We went to an Albertson's and asked at cust. svc for a loyalty card. They gave us one for the day since we did not have a CA address. The manager told us they do it all the time so you can just ask
