Because we sometimes pick up the car at Dolphin, we’ll use Alamo/Enterprise and book via Costco. Booking through Costco allows for 2 drivers without additional charges.
Check the Transportation Board for discount codes.
There are good threads on the transportation board about the different rental companies, including discount codes.
We used Dollar, although everyone told use to use Hertz or Alamo. We got a deal on their "Dollar Days" that was about $90 less than I could find with any other rental company. We were able to use the kiosk and go right to our car. Hertz and Alamo also have that option, and I think Budget might as well. The tolls were under $5, so we opted out of the Sunpass, which would have been $10 per rental day--absurd!
EZ Rent a Car has 30 locations in the United States as well as locations in the Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and six islands in the Caribbean. So, not a worldwide company, but definitively not a tiny operation, either.

EZ is a pretty small company with 30 locations in the USA, compared to "the big boys"
By comparison, Budget has over 1350 locations in the USA...just sayin'

Have you used EZ? What about Advantage? What was your experience like? Do they just tell you a row to take your care out of or assign a vehicle? Any unwanted surprises with extra charges at p/u or d/o or post- trip-credit card appearances? Lines at counters?
Only problem I have is a CC charge 10 weeks after the rental return date from them. Their policy states 4-8 weeks for toll charges to go through so I am currently disputing until I have the itemized bill. For all I know they are charging me for someone else's tolls.
