go to the rental code discount section and just see if any match the timeframe you are traveling and the length of stay you need the car. You must do some research to find which code will work best for you, if any.

I just did our car rentals yesterday....I did all the major companies that serve the port area. The best deal I found was Budget using the Walmart code from mousesavers. The code was W810000.

Does anyone have a list of the rental companies that serves the port area? Also, has anyone tried to bid on priceline when trying to get a rental after the cruise? I need to pick a rental car up after the cruise and then drop it off at Orlando Airport a week later. Thx!

I tried to figure out how to do Priceline bidding for a car for our cruise transportation--I couldn't figure out how to do a drop off or pick up at a site that wasn't an airport. I did find a site that said Priceline cars were available only at "major airports," but don't know whether this is accurate. I've also read that there is a way to do it under "more options," but I couldn't figure it out.

Anyhow, car companies near the port...Budget, Avis, Hertz, Enterprise.

And don't forget Thrifty....that is also near the port. But, Thrifty does charge a $15 one way drop fee but with that said...THEY WERE STILL THE CHEAPEST FOR OUR 3 DAY RENTAL LAST OCTOBER EVEN WITH THE DROP FEE!!

So, don't count them out until you price all of the car rental companies and see what you get.

We used Avis with the code K199060 for a $64 after tax one day rate for a minivan.

You can't rent a one-way rental on Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia, etc... You have to book directly with the company.

We end up renting 15 passenger vans from Budget and I always seem to get the best deal with the uPromise code (X989300). Plus, using a uPromise cc, we get a few pennies for the education of our children.
