So I come back last night from a long weekend in Denver to find my desktop isn't turning on.

Everything else on the power strip worked fine. Tried a different cord, different strip, different outlet even...nadda. So today took it to my tech support...my dad and brother. They can't get it to work. Power supply works but the power is not getting anywhere else. Think the switch is shot and possibly blew the motherboard.

So tonight I had the honor of forking over $610 to HP for a new tower and printer. I don't have a printer currently so it was worth the $30 to add it on. Shipping was free and I found a $30 coupon code which took care of tax.

Did save the DVD drive and hard drive. My dad needs a DVD drive for his computer and I can use the hard drive as a secondary when I get my new tower so I won't lose my files or music.

But what really gets my goat..I have a HP Home Store credit card. I have used it to buy two computers since they do financing offers like 3 months no interest. This time however there is no option to use it. Normally during checkout there is an E-financing option. This time around they have Bill Me Now as an option...I don't think so.

So out comes...the Visa. At least with a promo offer I have now I will earn 30000 American Airline miles, enough for a ticket. So when you think about it in a roundabout way, I buy new computer and get a free ticket.
