Well...I don't know if I just happen to have a lemon of a fridge, or it was a bad make/model.
I have a Fridgidaire stainless-look (not stainless) side by side, only about 3 yrs old. When we had it about 9 months, it quit working. The repair paper said something about a faulty evap motor, whatever that is. It caused the water line on the dispenser to freeze up, and the fridge and freezer quit working. It was fixed under the warranty.
Fast forward to this morning. Water doesn't work (again)...and fridge and freezer are not cold enough. Sounds like the same thing, but this time we have no warranty (and even if we did on the replacement part, I'm sure it was one year as well). So...looks like we are shelling out about $300 or so tomarrow to get it fixed.
I spent an hour today getting all my food out to take to my mom's. Luckily, it was still pretty cold, and the frozen hadn't thawed out yet.
Anyone else have problems with a Frigidaire? There weren't any bad reviews when we bought it, but a ton now
