DH and I have to go through fertility treatments to get pregnant. It stinks, and it can be very costly because (depending on the insurance), very little of it is covered, if at all.
The last time we went through treatments, it cost us $25,000 OOP for a "shared risk" program since we weren't covered under DH's insurance (nor mine), and this shared risk gave us 6 tries for the price of 2. Of course, we got PG on our first try with this fertility center (and went on to have DD, 2yo).
Well, we've been trying to save money up so that we could try for #2 ($17,500 this time - we were going to do their 2 try discounted plan) and we decided to deplete our EF so we wouldn't have to get a loan and called the fertility center to get started. Well, we forgot that DH's company had switched insurers... When I got a call from the financial coordinator, she told me the deposit was $1500. I said, "when do we have to get the rest to you?", and she said "That's it - you're covered for one try under your insurance."
YAY!! Now all I have to do is hope it works on the first try again...
