Has anyone else done this to make the cost of a Disney trip less painful:
I've taken the total cost amount for my Sept. trip, and figured out how many weeks I have to pay it off (approx. 9 currently)
Then I divided the total cost by the number of weeks, divided again by seven (days in a week) to come out with how much money PER DAY I need to set aside to have the trip paid in cash 45 days in advance!!
Total / weeks till payment due date (9) / seven (days per week) = amount to save per day!
While the total package price may seem steep at first, after dividing it down, I only need to put aside $11 a day
This figure doesn't include airfare which I'll put on a credit card and pay off quick. Extras like souvies, lounge beverages, etc. also are left out, but since Disney is kicking in the meals, that won't be too much extra to deal with. Plus, with the trip paid off in July, I'll have time to set aside extra spending cash!
Besides, $11 sounds a lot better than $1100!!!

We are staying for 8 days. Not sure how much money to take for spending.
Everything is paid for except breakfast and souviners.
