I have very sensitive skin, and even with hypoallergenic bubble bath, I need to rinse off after a bubble bath or I get itchy. It's about a minute standing under the shower, not a lot of water used. A warm bath is cheaper than a massage and a therapist!

I do sometimes take a bath to get clean, but I won't put bubbles in.

Much of the world doesn't have showers in their bathrooms, just baths. It's perfectly fine to bathe either way.

Yes! I do take shower after bubble bath. If I won’t the soap on my skin starts irritating me. I don’t like that feel! So I have to rinse it off!

On the extremely rare occassion that I take a bath, I must shower when done. Even when my kids were small and took baths, I always rinsed them off with the hand held shower head before getting them out to dry off.

Glad to see I'm part of the 53% (as of right now), but my roommate still thinks I'm a weirdo. :lmao: Thanks for voting and responding!

Showering after bathing has never occurred to me. As noted by another poster, much of the world has primarily tubs and get clean.

As well, most people bathe babies and kids in baths. Are they not ever clean until they take grow up and take a shower?

I haven't done bubble baths since Mr. Bubbles gave me kidney infections as a child. Had to go see a urologist, before they finally figured out I was taking bubble baths on the weekend at grandma's. Then they went away.

I can see rinsing off after. I would think the bubbles would dry out your skin if not. If you are taking a bath and washing with regular soap, but not a true bubble bath I wouldn't think you need to run the shower to rinse tho.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what some posters mean, but it sounds to me like they step straight out of the soapy water and dry off, without ever rinsing with clean water. I didn't just scoop my child out of the soapy water and dry him off when I used to bathe him as a baby - I dumped out the soapy water and poured clean water over him to rinse the soap off. I always assumed that's what everyone did, but maybe not. To me, using the shower to rinse off after a bubble bath is comparable to that. I wouldn't feel clean with soap residue on my skin, and I really wouldn't want to leave it on a baby's sensitive skin.

I always gave my babies baths in the regular bath tub and no way did I empty out the tub so I could rinse them off. :confused3

And yes...I just get straight out of the water...and dry off. No itching...I feel clean...and the bath and body works bubbles make me smell yummy!:thumbsup2

Ditto!! No way am I climbing out of my tub...and then jumping in the shower....that's way too much work. Maybe if the two were connected it might not be too much of a big deal, but I don't feel dirty when I get out of a bubble bath so it would be pointless.

Agreed. I have a separate tub and walk in shower. I never hop from one to the other. If I wash my hair, I shower. Otherwise, I take a bath. I use plenty of soap and bubbles to consider myself clean. If I'm actually "dirty" (like after playing with the kids in the yard) I will shower. I don't understand the "soaking in your own dirt" concept.
