BTMRR offical update! 11/18/16

BTMRR will open tomorrow on schedule ! Just had a great magical moment with the "expanation staff" and ride manager.

Opens tomorrow on schedule.

We were given 8 FP to ride, since we were going to EPCOT tomorrow. We were decidine to be here at fope drop when they said "wait here, we have some magic for you!" They said to stop by and use anytime old sxhool paper FP to ride a few times!!!!

This makes up for the terrible MK day Wednesday!

All the walls are down and she looks great! As a side note , no FP will be offered this weekend, distribution begins MDE for Monday!!

Rumors are very varied right now, I chat with everyone when I visit. Everyone is saying different things.

We just passed BTMRR on the riverboat, and I took a ton of pics. Paint looks great, they repainted the "rock layers" and they look much more pronouced.

The track section they appeared to be working on was just visable from the riverboat. I could not see any other enhancements beyond cosmetic.


I will post tomorrow after our ride. HM looks really good also.

TRAINS ARE RUNNING!

Just passed on the WDW RR.

There are definetly some new additions. The geyser is shooting about 60 foot up in the air, and the sounds are very noticable.

Looks like some fresh lighting was added as well. CSM says the fire marshal was here yesterday to approve the changes.

Looks really great.

We will be at Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Looks like we may have to hit BTMRR at Rope Drop (or soon thereafter, as I think we will still do Peter Pan at Rope Drop).

CSM's were not shy about saying wait times could top out at 2 1/2 hours....rope drop is a must......I might do BTMRR before PP.

@xipotec - I am *really* happy for you! Definitely helps to make up for your crappy day...now I need to see if my fam wants to change plans and rope drop this morning!!! I don't doubt standby could top 2 hours with Thanksgiving crowds starting today. It's our last day so it's now or never (or at least until our next trip ).

Looks like all cosmetic changes folks. The water system seems to have been "juiced" alot. The waterfall at the top of the 1st climb (which is still loud as heck) is flowing so hard you actually get splashed a bit. Same with the geyser at the end. That seems to be shooting very high. We also got some spray from that getting additional cooling on a hot FL day.

Animatronics are all cleaned up and operating as they should.

Its a great ride and much needed to help move crowds in MK.

Yup! FP were being given out at ride enterence also.

Sorry LOOOOONG day. Park hopping is very tiring.

They said they decided to start with FP because everything was working smoothly.

Standby was only 20 minutes at 10:30pm....but started to shoot up right after.

Apparently MDE was not workin properly for some today. My 3 month Frozen FP disappeared after the window started....we were shocked, but I took a pic of my FP on my phone everymorning in case something like this happened.
