Can anyone help me understand which fast train to take from Brussels to DLP next March? I am getting so confused with the different country’s rail sites, and am not sure if I am too early to be searching for times and tickets, as a lot of sites don’t show much available. What I DO have straight in my brain is that I must reserve, in advance, the fast trains on the early side to get the best price, but the local(intercity) trains (which take longer, so we would not be wanting for this leg) are buy same day. But can I get a direct fast train , or might I have to connect to the RER A train? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I would use b-europe.com, and use Brussels Midi as your starting point, not Central. And then Disneyland Paris as your end point. If you select Paris you will get the city of Paris and you need to take RER to DLP.
By the looks of it, you can make reservations 2 months in advance. January 23 is not released yet.

For the Thalys, purchase as early in advance as possible to get the best price. A direct train should take about 1:50 - 2 hours.

Thank you for your prompt response. Here is one of the things that confuses me- when I went on b-Europe,(which I had been exploring), and put in a random date of Dec 2, to check times and prices, it first shows options for TGV and Thalys, but when I select each one, it only ends up showing the same TGV train. If I understand correctly, Thalys is Netherlands, and TGV is Belgium, so would they BOTH be running the same route? Then there is the third French rail line, SNCF, which, in their website, again shows TGV. Is it all the same, one train? I am feeling really stupid about this🙄

Do they all share the same train, but each sells tickets for it?

Stop trying to understand it. There is probably a logical thought behind it, but I don't know the exact difference either :P

Thalys = International train starting in the Netherlands to France, through Belgium
TGV = Highspeed train mainly in France, but nowadays also between Brussels and France.
SNCF = Domestic trains.

These websites can sell tickets for each other. Just pick a time that works for you, check if there are transfers, and that the travel time is about 2 hours.
