I'm not that familiar with his music, but it was nice to watch a half time show that was about music and talent and not simply a show to shock viewers.

I also agree with Grace&Carolinesmom's comment. That was an odd combination, but I guess they were trying to appeal to more viewers by including RHCP.

Singer, songwriter, musician, performer - I have been waiting to see the performance & I was not disappointed. I wanted more, but I have to give him props for sharing the stage and spotlight with such enthusiasm. So pleased he didn't treat them like former bandmates he begrudgingly invited for a much requested reunion & then under micced for their 30 sec appearance.

I commented to DH I was too old for this (while watching RHCP) and he said "so are they".

RHCP is one of my favorite bands of all time.
Bruno Mars, not so much. I'm generally not a big pop fan.
But he's definitely talented and a great entertainer. I'm not a big fan of performers imitating others, but I think he did James Brown better than James Brown.

I agree that it was an odd combination, but mainly because RHCP played a song from 1991 when their style was much more punk/rap/???
They are a band that has evolved and matured over time and while I like their old stuff, I think their more recent music is much more interesting.

If they had done something newer, I think it would have worked better with Bruno Mars.

The half time part with Bruno Mars was fantastic. RHCP not so much. That was an odd combination that I could have done without. Like PP have said Brunos was a class act. Reminded me of acts from the 60's/70's with the matching clothes and dance routines. A very family friendly half time.

I'm not sure how family-friendly the lyrics "your sex takes me to paradise" are, but it was a good show

She was just at the Grammy's looking great, but she absolutely seemed to shine performing before the Super Bowl. She always seems to exude such a fun energy, obviously seems to agree with her.

They were number 15 in 2012 and didn't make the list in 2011 or 2010.

If you're a Seahawks fan, the OUTCOME of the game was awesome. If you're a football fan, the GAME was awful

Sorry I should have said top live acts, according to Rolling Stone. Still very popular, just not a band you are going to find much on the pop charts.

She mentioned she was going to be singing on her show. She's been looking AMAZING lately, even brought on her make up artist to show how its DONE!! I wish I could use him!! I missed her but I'm sure I'll find it online.

Im a little late jumping on this thread, but man Bruno KILLED IT at the halftime show! I loooooove him on the drums. Triple threat! He can sing like an angel, play instruments, and dance! And guess what? I bought tickets today for the concert in toronto AND buffalo! I went to his concert last year, it was honestly the best concert ive ever been to, and i've been to a lot of them.

I loved both Bruno and the RHCP.

Considering how long the Chili Peppers have been around and how old I am, I have never seen them live.

My teenager just got Bruno tickets this morning for his tour.
