brunch for 1

My son is special needs and can't be left in the OceaneersClub, they would beep in a minute. My husband and I would love to go to brunch, but we realize we can't go together. Is it possible that we can get 2 reservations for 1, even on different days?

Yes, I think it would be possible. Just explain the situation and I'm sure they would accomodate your request.

I've been wondering that same thing...DH and I booked the REAS package, so I made reservations for Palo dinner and brunch along with tea. I'm taking my mom to the tea, but since DH and I will have the couples massage I'm not sure about the dinner and brunch. I don't want my mom to feel like a babysitter. I wish DCL would either supply respite type babysitters that we could pay, or do room service Palo for those of us with special needs kids. I don't think the club would beep me for my DS, but I would be too worried about him. He's verbal, but when he is excited or upset he loses communication skills. And as wonderful as I've heard the CMs are I don't think it is fair to leave them with a special needs kid that they don't know how to handle. Besides, as my sister told me one day, "You know I adore him but he is manipulative and he lies", which is true. Who knows where he would end up on that boat...probably right at Palo before DH and I got there.

Some suggestions.

Check the cruise meet for your sailing date. You might find some friends who would love to join you in Palo so you each could enjoy it without being alone. On our cruise several folks hooked up ahead of time and planned a group brunch at Palo.

Discuss the situation with Guest Services. They delight in creating Magical Moments for folks and this sounds like a great opportunity to work something out. You'll never know if they can "Bring Palo to You" until you ask.

Even if you don't feel you can leave your son in the Club, you're welcome to take him to experience the activities and stay with him. Please talk to the CMs to get them to help you determine something that would work out well for your situation so your son will have a MAGICal time also.
