My DD (15) and I will be having lunch at The Brown Derby at MGM for the first time.

Any reccomendations??

Thanks

I like the filet cobb salad.
They take a nice sized filet mignon and plop it on top of their famous cobb salad.

A key lime martini.

Grapefruit cake for dessert.

To me, it's a super lunch.

Hi vacation

Here is a dinner review (with PICTURES !!) that our fellow DisBoard member Forever42 has put togther on her website.
http://www.wdwfood.com/brown.php

I also believe she was going to dine there again this past weekend and do another review.I think it will be for lunch this time. Keep your eyes on her website.

Hope that helps!
Chris

I thought that the pan-fired grouper was really fine. The Brown Derby is my favorite of all the theme park restaurants (with the possible exception of Le Cellier.) DW enjoys the Cobb salad, and the traditional grapefruit cake is rightfully their signature dessert.

We love BD. The filet, Cobb Salad and grapefruit cake are our favorites.

I have been going to WDW every year since 94 and we go to the BD everytime.

Cobb Salad, Key lime Martini, Watermelon Martini, Ravoli App.

we got the 10 oz strip, coconut shrimp appe. and creme brulee all wonderful.( we used avoucher and split the meal)

WOW !!!

Everything sounds so good I think I better plan to go here twice during our stay so we can try more!!!

Thanks for the info.:hyper:

Guess I am a minority of one. Best thing to eat at Brown Derby?
The napkins:rolleyes:

The only bad meal ever was at Brown Derby.

The kids decided on 50's Prime Time for dinner so that is where we are going this trip. I was wonering if you can "take out" some of the fatastic grapefruit cake I have been hearing about?

there is a small bakery to the right called STarring Rolls (if you are facing Bd it's in the back of the courtyard on the right, a few steps down) of BD that had it ( they recently were revamped so do not know for sure if they still carry it) if not try the choc. crossiants ummm!
