Anyone have a review on this or is there already a thread started? Sorry, I have two little ones yelling at me right now and short on time. :goodvibes

We have dinner reservations there for V-Day.

Thanks for the help.

We had dinner at the Brown Derby and to tell you the truth I was not impressed. It seamed that the waitress was not able to handle to 4 tables she had and was not very personable. This by far as service goes the worst meal of our trip.

I remember the days (when they still had the piano and had Mickey shaped butter) that the service was second to only the Lilly Belle.

The food was OK. I don't think it was worth 2 table services.

Would I go back........ maybe but I would need to see some really great reports from others.

I love it there. We went for lunch way back in 1998 and had the best burgers. Well imagine our surprise last year when we found the menu had changed. OK, so what will I get now? I went with the Cobb Salad, their signature item. It was great! And so big that I took half back to our condo. Our waitress was very good. She was Japanese and talked my DH in getting Japanese beer. One of the DDs was so tired she curled up in the booth after eating and slept through dessert. Very expensive, but we knew that going in and the food was good.

My family ate their in July 2006 and had a good experience, although the service was a bit slower than our other ADR's. The food was good, waitress was pleasant and helpful, and atmosphere was enjoyable. We would eat there again.

Brown Derby is nice for adults but I think kids don't get the whole theming of the place. Mine were just extremely sad to miss out on Sci Fi or Prime Time! We also had extremely slow service (no idea why it was not crowded) and I agree that it does not seem worth two ts credits. I might go back but only would if it was dh and I. And just at lunch for the cobb salad paying OOP.

love, love, LOVE the grilled salmon dish. Both DF and I had it, and it was our favorite meal the entire vacation (went in December). I also had a glass of the Happiest Celebration wine, and we shared the creme brulee dessert. Everything there was so good! I would recommend it with a :thumbsup2. Enjoy!

Our family ate there last June (Fantasmic package) and I have to say it's one of my favorites! Our server was fantastic (very grandmotherly;) ) and the food was awesome. Our two boys enjoyed it as well. DH and I are going back in March and this is one of our "must-do's". :thumbsup2

My family (all adults) had lunch at the Brown Derby three weeks ago. It was one our favorites meals of the trip.

We really enjoyed our lunch.:thumbsup2

What is the dress code there? I've never gone in because it looks like it may be a little dressy.

We had lunch at the Brown Derby last week. No problem getting an ADR that morning for a late lunch. The restaurant was partially filled as they were getting ready for dinner (our time was 3-3:30 I think).

Loved the atmosphere of the place, and think it would be great for couples. I thought the food was excellent. I had the grouper and the grapefruit cake. Like almost everyone else on this thread so far, I thought the service was slow: at least 10 minutes from getting our menus to seeing our waiter the first time; drinks going empty for long periods; long wait to get the check.

I would go back (we weren't on the dining plan), but plan on a more leisurely meal this time.

My family and I ate there before Fantasmic and none of us were very impressed with it.

We were there for dinner on the Fantasmic package last month and loved it. While the service was not fast, I don't go to a place like that for a "quick food" experience and the time it took to be waited on and served was spent enjoying the theming, talking with my family rather than scarfing our food down, and just having a nice dinner break. We were still in and out in about an hour and enjoyed the break.

The food was delicious... we all loved what we chose: me - cobb salad (she gave me the salad for 2 even though DH wanted a different appetizer!), grouper, grapefruit cake; DH - crab cake, filet mignon, and the flourless chocolate cake; I think DS9 chose the hot dog and DD7 had beef & macaroni. They were happy with their kids' meals.
