Can someone give me some advice. We will be going Nov/Dec for 6 nights. The day we're planning for MGM I was going to have us eat breakfast somewhat late- around 10AM or 11AM- head to MGM and then have dinner at Brown Derby at 5 or 6PM. My question is this. We have never eaten at either Brown Derby or Chefs de France. Should we keep our ressie at Brown Derby or change it Chefs de France and take the boat from MGM to Epcot?

Any advice would be greatly apprecitated. It will be myself, DH, two kiddos age 7 and 9 and my Dad.

If you're not on the DDP, I would stick with Brown Derby because the food is better, IMO. Plus, going to Les Chefs would probably be inconvenient.

We love Chefs, first time we ate there was last year and we can't wait to get back there! We are trying HBD this year only because we are on the DxDDP and need to use up some credits, to me the menu has little to be desired so I guess we will see.

:) DH and I prefer Brown Derby over Chefs. We have eaten at both on two different trips. Each time Brown Derby had the better flavor. Servers were great at both places. Chefs seems more compact and loud during the 5-6 hour. Brown Derby has a much larger dinning room and is closer to the gate of the park. Chefs would require a walk around the world. Love the baguettes at Chefs and of course seeing Remy. DH even likes to visit with Remy. I think you will enjoy Brown Derby more. Eating at Chefs then having to walk all the way back to the gate gives me indigestion--just thinking about it. It definitely has the European vibe and you really feel like you are eating in Paris. Derby has a signature dinning atmosphere. I hope this helps. We have left both off our trip in Oct.

Having been to both, you can put me down as another vote for Brown Derby:thumbsup2

I love Chefs de France and really like Brown Derby. However, I would not travel from the Studios to Epcot just for dinner unless I planned to spend the rest of the evening there.

By the way, the "MGM" name is no more. It's now Disney's Hollywood Studios.

okay thanks for the responses. I guess I was overthinking it a bit. And sometimes something sounds good on paper but not so much in real life. Looks like we will stick with our original plan for Brown Derby. :thumbsup2

Good choice :thumbsup2. We like both but think that Brown Derby is the better of the two if we had to choose

Just ate dinner at Les Chefs in April...stick with Brown Derby..I was so UN-impressed with Les Chefs...IMO
