I was wondering if anybody had done the Brown Derby Fantasmic package lately. We've booked it for our May trip and I was wondering if people find that it was worth the money. What was included and can you choose anything off of the menu or only certain items?

We did this in February. DH really likes Brown Derby and is not crazy about the other dining choices in MGM, so it worked out great for us. You can order anything you want from the menu, no restrictions. We've always had really good service at this restaurant. Good luck with your choice.

Did it last Dec and LOVED it. No menu limitations and we were FULL after. Unfortunately our Fantasmic got rained out though. But, no regrets I really love that restaurant.

We did it 4/7, LOVED IT, was the best meal we had in Disney - amazing crabcake appetizer! A little more $$ but owrth it - we are from NJ & my husband works in NYC so we are used to the prices

We chose to use 2TS credits and do the Brown Derby/Fantasmic package during our trip in June. We'll be there four nights, and so we have 4 TS meals, but because we arrive late the first night we only have time for 3 TS dinners, so we decided it was no big deal to use 2 credits to do the HBD package.

You can order anything you want. Order wisely and you actually make it a deal! Like...I was trying to decide between two entrees, and I decided to get the priciest (the steak) just cuz I paid for the package. I did the math later and I cam out ahead (after my dessert and app selection also). i wish the search function was working, cuz I would love to share the link with you of my review.

Anyway, we enjoyed it so much, we did it the following year.

We've done all three FDPs and Brown Derby is by far our favorite. We've done it three times already and have an ADR in July. I always get the same thing - crab cake appetizer, filet entree and grapefruit cake for dessert. Everything there is always wonderful.

We've also gone there for lunch and DH loved the cobb salad and I loved the pasta dish.

It just wouldn't be Disney for me without my grapefruit cake!

I always do the BD fantasmic package. I really like The BD but I definitely wouldn't use 2 TS credits there on the DDP. When I do the Fantasmic package I can enjoy a good meal and get my seat for Fantasmic.I really think it is a great deal.FYI,the night of my Fantasmic package it got rained out,so I booked Mamma Melrose(couldn't get BD) for another night. When I told the waitress at MM that my original Fantasmic night got rained out she said that if I went to the customer service desk they would probably have given me a pass for another night. The waitress talked to her manager and told me that I could just order what I wanted for dinner and not do the package and she would just give me my ticket. I thought this was a very nice jesture but the FDP there was a good deal so I just stuck with the package.
Have fun!!!!!:)

I know this is an old thread but...

How is BD for younger kids? Last year for the Fantasmic package we did Hollywood and Vine but we would rather not do a buffet. So we booked BD this time around. Our kids are 7 and 2 (and pretty well behaved) - will we be ok?

Our kids were 2, 4 and 5 the first time we went to the Brown Derby and we've gone every year since then. The kids like the restaurant and its offerings. Its Disney so there are lots of kids there, you won't feel out of place.
