Brother ships out tomorrow

My baby brother ships out tomorrow headed for the Persion Gulf. His birthday is today and his 3rd anniversary in Thursday. Their mission is close beach support for the complement of Marines on board. They will spend their time anywhere from 1-3 miles off the beach. I am so scared for him and his shipmates. Please, if you have any P&PD to spare, I'm sure they would appreciate it. I know I would.

That has to be the hardest thing. I cry every time I see loved ones saying goodbye to military men and women. I hope he stays safe and sound.

P & PD on it's way! Remember, they have trained long & hard for this job....they will do it & they will all come home. In the meantime, I understand it is hard to be away from family & friends. We will all be thinking of them.

Shannon, the best I could do was send him a couple of cards. He called last night around 10:45 but we were at work. He left the sweetest voice mail. I was crying by the time he was done.

Their babysitter kept the baby overnight so they could celebrate their anniversary a little early. I thought that was very nice.

I will send him packages as I can. He says underwear and t-shirts are like gold.

Thank you all for the prayers. It means more than you'll ever know.

Just one more reason this place feels like home.
